I've used Milton "M" fittings for decades, this kit has 1 female & 4 male connectors. The males don't lock positively into the female and my old existing males on tools don't either. You have to fuss with it, you can't just shove it in & have it lock up, it takes a couple of tries. I'm going to check if my old leaky female fitting has a replaceable O-ring. It fits like a champ, just slowly leaks, with a tiny little irritating hiss!

I will be ordering enough for all of my air tools soon. The quality of the female end is incredibly good. The fit of the fittings and sturdiness of the release mechanism give me high hopes that these will stand the test of time even with regular abuse.

Miltons plugs and couplers outlast any other brand we've used. We'd tried Harbor Freight, Parker, Home Depot, Amflo and some others. We have 4 areas under heavy daily usage, being coupled and decoupled 5 to 20 times each daily. The get tossed on the ground and run over with vehicles constantly by my careless techs. I don't think we've ever had to replace a plug. Couplers in these areas last 2 to 3 years. The ones installed on stationary equipment have never had to be replaced. Harbor Freight and Home Depot's couplers will last less than a month in the heavy use areas, doesn't matter if they're brass or steel. Amflo's sets don't do much better. Parker lasted longer, but still no match to Milton. The only flaw in maybe 25% of the couplers is the top on some of them start to unscrew themselves and you have to re-tighten occasionally. Again, these are only because they are thrown on the ground, dragged and run over.

Replaced my whole shop setup with these. They are much more professional than the cheaper universal ones sold at stores. The metal is strong and well machined with a nice finish. I wish that the couplings had four balls instead of only three but it doesn't seem to affect performance. They do not leak anywhere down the line. Buying these in this package is the most cost effective way.
