Can not read the scale if light is not bright because it is black with laser inscribed markings. It is built good. It is easy to use just hard to read. It is right with other Milton gauges.

I have all sorts of tire pressure gauges. Pencil, digital, analog, all in one, plastic, metal. All are hard to read, or don't read the same as the next one.I am towing an RV now and needed to be spot on. SO, it was time to get one that is accurate. All the tire pressure gauges I reviewed did not have good reviews.I like that I can calibrate this with my truck pressure reading and my TireMinder reading. I now feel like all my other gauges can go away.

Compared the product to Master Gauge at two tire shops. Margin of error was incredibly low. Off by only 0.1 psi!Incredible quality product for precision reading.

It felt pretty heavy duty but I tried to use it on one of the inside tires it snapped in half.

The electronic ones are probably more accurate but inflating tires is not rocket science and Milton gauges work for ever, without batteries, after being run over and left in the rain. The advantage of this one, for me, is that it won't accidentally walk off in someones pocket

I answered the question about how to calibrate this tool, but was unable to attach an image with the instructions. If memory serves this is either printed on or included in the package. I hope this helps. This is an excellent, high quality tire gauge that can be recalibrated on a test bench to retain accuracy over time. It's the only one I will use on my big trucks, and is the same model my tire dealer uses.

This product is very well built, but unfortunately it will not work for my application and i will have to return it.
