As my laptop has few USB A ports this devive work great to give me the ports I need. I use the Network, and USB A's on it every day. Lightweight and functional. Just what the doctor ordered.

This little hub is quite nice. It's small and lightweight and has plenty of connections for what I use it for, which is work and fixing/working on computers all day. It fits easily in my bookbag and is small enough to carry around in my pocket throughout the office. It has a metal body which kind of acts as a heatsink which is nice and has a braided USB-C cable to connect to a computer. I have tested all of the ports on it, and they all work as expected, although I do not use them all regularly. I was most interested in the ethernet port because we utilize a lot of laptops at work that only use wireless, and this hub helps give us ethernet/LAN speeds when we need to run updates or perform reimages. I have attached some diagnostics for read/write speeds on a flash drive testing the different ports speeds as well as ethernet download/upload speeds and I have to say for what this thing is, I was impressed and very happy with its performance. I have been using it for approximately 4 months now and it gets regular weekly usage (probably 3-4 times a week for a couple hours at a time) and it has been very consistent and no noticeable drop-off in performance. The HDMI port is great to have since a lot of our laptops have smaller screens and being able to hook them up to a conference room TV makes working on them a lot easier at times. I tested the ethernet through 2 different sites and got expected speeds (600Mbps and ~800Mbps). Overall, this hub is quite nice to use if you’re moving around a lot and want to easily hook up a mouse/keyboard, have some extra ports for flash drives, and have an ethernet port or HDMI port if your laptop doesn’t once. It's nice if you don’t have a dock for your laptop or if you’re doing something like what we do and need to work on computers in different areas that are not conducive to having an entire setup due to space constraints. Definitely worth a pickup if you’re looking for something like this to help serve as a dock at an affordable price.

I received the product, but when I plugged it in to my MacBook and tried to plug in the connector to my monitor, I saw no video. Reading the fine print on the instructions I see "USB C 3.2 Gen2 does not support charging and video out". I don't think that is a correct statement of the capabilities of the standard, but in any case this hub apparently does not support video, which makes it useless for my purposes. I don't think this is stated clearly enough in the product description.

Multiple USB-C ports, only one supports power in, so try all of them if power isn't working.Other than that, it's basically what it says. I use the ethernet and the USB-C ports most on Macbook. Works as designed.

There seems to be several versions of this product. The one I got is the black Multiport adapter with HDMI, 3 USB-C Data Ports, one 100W Power Delivery USB-C, Gigabit Ethernet, USB-C to USB-C Hub.I'm using this product on a Windows laptop. The first thing I tested was this product's claim to deliver Gigabit network speed. I compared it with a similarly priced product I bought on Amazon a year ago. This product lives up to its claim of delivering Gigabit Ethernet speed. I've used it for a day now at the office. I lost connectivity once, for about 2-3 seconds but I don't know if this product caused it or if unrelated factors were at fault. One side of the hub has 3 USB-C ports that allowed me to plug in all my auxiliary devices. The other side has a single USB-C power "delivery" port to charge your laptop if you choose that route, or if your regular power cable isn't with you. In that sense, it's more of a power intake rather than a power delivery port; the hub can take in power at that port and charge your laptop, it can't deliver power to, say, your iPhone from your laptop at that port. Last, it also provides an HDMI port to plug in an extra monitor, which I always do.Other than that, it's a well-made product. Even its cable seems to be on steroid, though I wish that cable was slightly shorter (I'm just being fussy here). I think it'll survive tossing around, plugging in and yanking out. That said, I haven't used this product long enough to be definite about its longevity. One more thing, the amount of heat generated by this adapter seems proportional to the number of devices attached; not hot but noticeably warm after a day's use.
