This is perfect for my Rudolph fan. I typically don't like lights on fans but this is in a guest bedroom that needs a light. The light is small but provides the perfect amount of light without overwhelming the room. This is great if you are looking for a nice low profile light. Very easy to install.

Bought a Minka-Aire F896-84-ORB Xtreme H2O 84 Inch fan to install in a new house. This was listed as an option in the ad. Bought it. Does not fit. Had professional electrician try, he says there is no way this was made to fit the fan. Tried to contact them with no response. Stuck with a light that wont fit my fan and no response from seller.

I don't know why they say 12" but the light is about 8" in diameter and fits well on the Rudolph 52" fan. installation was easy and I have a Lutron Caseta wall dimmer switch and fan speed controller with 14-3 wiring to the ceiling box. I can adjust this LED light with the dimmer very smoothly. The light output could be a bit better - I'd say its about equivalent to a 75W incandescent bulb. The color temperature looks to be like a soft white light (2700-3000˚).
