Lift assist on my minn kota 80 lb thrust 72 in trolling motor broke releasing the retractable spring. This one has a screw to hold the spring instead of a plastic pin, which the original had that broke.

This part is better than the original that came on the trolling motor because it includes a cut out for a nut and the nut itself for a bolt - versus the original which was a screw into plastic threading. Fit my 2017 Minnkota Terrova.
