Really nice for Home Assistant. Each button sends 1x, 2x, 3x pressed events, and can do Held and Released events as well, so each button can perform ~4-5 different actions. It's easy to set up if you look online for the blueprint for HA, which allows you to just select the action to perform for the above 20 different events. My only complaint is the build quality. The buttons like to remain tilted to one side or another (see image) due to the fairly lax tolerances in the housing.

When I ordered these controllers, I was sceptical about what I would receive. I have tried many other controllers and they have either been very cheaply made, incompatible with SmartThings, difficult to pair or work with ST and limited in function. This controller is none of that. They are solidly built, compact and multifunctional in design. You can mount them like a regular switch, alone or in an electrical box. You can use it as a remote and have it with you, wherever you are. The magnetic base holds it solidly in place when on the wall. The controller is solidly built and doesn't feel flimsy. Button presses are firm and don't leave you guessing if it pressed or not.Pairing was easy and simple. I had 3 of them completely programmed in less than 3 minutes each. The first one required an applet addition to my ST account but the download and installation instructions were clear, concise and complete and left no room for question or error. That took an extra 2 or three minutes to set up the first one.Pairing & programming was easy and straightforward. I have used these everyday for the past week and they have performed flawlessly with great distance reception wherever I am on the property.I ordered 4 to begin with and will be ordering more in the future. The only complaint that I have is that it took 2 weeks for them to arrive.

First off I have probably used virtually all z-wave scene controllers ever made over the last 15 years. These so far are the very best in many way I have come across. I use HomeSeer and they are by far the most responsive of all scene controllers so far. Sometimes they miss a beat but so do they all. I cannot believe how quick they are. I have other four button scene controllers and you have to hit wait hit wait hit wait hit wait. With this I can hit each button without waiting and all turn on or off. This comes with a back plate and wall plate so you can put in the wall or you can put inside a receptacle and it fits just like an ordinary rocker switch. You can pick it up easily and take it somewhere else without accidentally hitting buttons and it is by far my most favorite scene controller so far. I have only programmed it for single click and hold and release. However you can program it for double click and triple click as well. A lot of other scene controllers miss the long press down and the system only sees the release however this thing is so fast it actually sees both the hold and release so I am pretty sure you can use that extra scene if needed. What would I improve? First off I would love to have seen a model where all the buttons are equal in size two on top two on bottom I would have only purchased that model if it existed. Also not sure how much extra it is to include the magnetic back plate and wall plate but would love to see a cheaper version that has the switch itself. Most of the time I have not needed the back plate or wall plate.

I've been searching for months for a physical interface where I can control my smart lights.I don't want to be required to use my voice to control everything. I hate that so many smart devices rely on wifi. This uses zwave and it was by far the easiest to setup out of the various zwave devices I've tried.Setup:Simply put it into inclusion mode, scan the qr code and it paired quickly. Smartthings even identified this as Aeotec which is a well known brand in this area. This was not advertised as Aeotec, but this is a plus in my opinion.Other off brands just refuse to connect to my Samsung smartthings hub. And if they do get included in the zwave network, only get added as a generic zwave device which doesn't do anything....Usage:Smartthings recognizes all the different options for the switches. 1,2 or 3 clicks plus a hold for a total of up to 4 actions per button. The level of customizability is exactly what I was looking for. Granted, this means I will need to post a list next to these switches as anyone who will try to use this will get confused with anything other than a single press. But this is a small trade off for as much flexibility as this offers.Writing this review, I have only used this for about an hour, but given the low ratings people give this, I felt I needed to speak the truth about this little device. I need this switch to stick around. If/when I add more zwave switches in my home, I want this to be here for me to purchase again. I have already purchased 2 more to bring me up to 3. When they arrive, I hope the experience is as painless as this one.I will update my review if I have any issues with this. Credit where credit is due. If you need a smartthings switch, this is the one to get.
