I like it, was easy to install, and I will continue to use it for the foreseeable future.I cannot get mine to snug up against the mirror as shown in pic though, it's range of motion is not enough. Detector exactly like shown in pic is hanging down an inch or so no matter what I do.it also makes the rear view mirror bounce around and vibrate a lot more. I have solved that by raising mirror as far as I can, up to where it almost touched windshield on top, and then put a piece of foam in between the mirror and the windshield. That makes it so you can actually use the mirror, otherwise when going fast on the highway for example, the mirror bounces and vibrates so much from the extra weight hanging off of the post, that you can't hardly even see out of it.I wish there was an extra adjustable piece that came off of the mount on the back side, and rested up against the windshield with maybe a rubber pad or something, to help support the detector and mirror, and to help stop the vibes and bouncing. Maybe I can but some stuff at a hardware store and come up with something like that. If so I will post some pics.Other than those two things, it works great.I used some thin foam around the mirror post/ stem so as not to dig it all up with the metal that clamps around it. Another improvement could be some rubber there on the clamp so I didn't have to add my own.-edit-BTW it is a 2009 Subaru Impreza 4 door with auto dimming mirror. Detector is a BEL Vector 995Will add some photos later, as there doesn't seem to be a lot of them for this variant.-edit- May 2016:I do not know where my pics went. I have a new radar detector, a Uniden DFR7, soon to be replaced with a new Uniden R3. I will upload pics of that instead.I do not use this "PerformancePackage Mirror Mount Radar Detector Bracket" any more because my particular mirror mount system bounces around too much and I could not come up with a way to stop it. Maybe if your car has a more steady mirror mount, that will not be an issue. this product is a little rough around the edges, but it is a solid, well built, quality product. It's worth a try and a nice option to have even if you do not use it all the time.

Pros:I bought this during the winter and waited until summer to see how the heat would effect it and see if there were any changes in detection. I am happy to report it performs flawlessly. The suction cup mounts fail over time and anytime you go to remove the detector to switch cars or clean the windshield they fall off and putting them back on is a pain. This solves all those problems. It is rock solid (use the supplied tool to tighten the wing nuts) and does not move at all. I can pull the detector on and off without any movement or slippage. Sits tight under my mirror and even though the detector now sits further from the windshield I have not noticed any degradation in pickup distance or sensitivity. In fact in some cases it seems better.Cheaper than any of the alternatives. Yes, it has teeth on the mount so it does not slip while on the mirror shaft. Will it marr the finish? Probably a little but you cannot see the shaft anyway unless you get up under it so who cares! If you do then put some gaff tape on the shaft first to give the teeth something to dig-in to.Installation tip: I had to mount mine lower than I wanted to in order to get it under the day/night flip switch on the mirror. I found by flipping the day-night switch backward (i.e. to night) I could mount it up higher, closer to the mirror. I do not use day/night feature anyway.Cons:Not a con as much as a suggestion. I would like to get the detector up even higher, more behind the mirror and closer to the windshield for laser coverage purposes. I think if the metal piece between the 2 wingnuts was longer I could accomplish this. Something for the manufacturer to consider or even sell as an add-on product. Ooooo, more money! Not really cons but suggestions

I ordered this product due to it's low cost compared to competitor items. I was hesitant at first due to this product being a universal fit item. In addition, I had read reviews regarding the vibrations of the radar detector while driving but from the reviews the seller had developed a clip which fixed this issue.Overall, I LOVE this item. It is well built and designed. The 2 points of adjustment allow for any fit in any vehicle at any angle. Some people complain about the mount scratching up the rear view mirror arm but if the attachment didn't have "teeth" then the mount would not be stable. Plus it's behind your rearview mirror so any minor damage to that will go unnoticed. If it's a major concern then you can do what I did and wrap the arm with some plastic drawer liner then install the mount. The new designed clip work great and my mount hasn't moved at all since I installed it over 2 months ago!Why you should buy this mount:1) It's a lot cheaper than other mounts ($35 versus $80+)2) Durable build quality with easy installation3) Keeps radar off dash & windshield and places in a non-conspicuous locationCar: 2009 Acura TSXRadar: Beltronics RX65

Bought for my V955 (it fits, and it should fit all current Beltronics detectors...they ought to update this ad to reflect that. Half the price of it's competitor and for my vehicle (2006 Grand Prix GT) fits like a glove. Looks to be quality billet aluminum construction and has a handsome anodized finish. The adjust-ability is also more than sufficient. Install took about 10 minutes and the required hex key was included as was the mount (you do NOT need to reuse your suction mount, they include a new anti-rattle one.) I am extremely pleased with this, it looks great and performs as advertised.
