What is Kurutoga?
This mechanical pencil maintains its sharpness by rotating the lead slightly each time you write, allowing you to continue writing thinly and clearly.
Advantages of the Kurutoga mechanism

I reach for this pencil before all others. Writes solid, gorgeous metal body, slightly textured. This and my Rotring 600 are the pencils I wish to be buried with. That is all.

This Kurotoga Mitsubishi mechanical pencil is top quality and feels great in the hand. The deep blue color is phenomenal and the Kurutoga engine works just as advertised. I really like this pencil and it receives plenty of compliments when others see it. It was pricy, but I feel this is definitely worth the price.

Very high quality build for a mechanical pencil. I love how study and elegant it is. The only slight issue I had with this pencil is that the tip of the pencil isn't retractable, so you can't keep it in your pocket without getting a little poke. This isn't a big problem for me as I keep my writing utensils in a pencil case. Overall I think this pencil is a great buy if you plan to splurge for a $30 pencil.

Love the metal Kuru Togas. The machined metal body feels great in the hand. It is smooth to write with and the auto rotation feature is a great option and writes very nicely. I would highly recommend picking up one for yourself.
