The kitchen heavy duty scissors are made of durable, high-quality alloy steel, with one blade treated with black titanium plating and serrated, and the other with gold titanium plating and a built-in micro-concave sharpening process. The ultra-sharp, thickened blades are divided into two functional zones: a meat-cutting zone and a bone-cutting zone, ensuring you can handle a variety of ingredients with ease. These trimmers are excellent. They are well balanced with a fulcrum that maximizes the force from your grip to slice through even somewhat woody stems. I was surprised at how sturdy these are. The thin profile makes it easy to get their blades on stems buried in a thick mass of stems but also cuts through thin stems easily.They are much sturdier than I expected, and the quality is excellent. They are the best trimmers I’ve ever used. They would definitely make an excellent gift!

I got these for duck, which has the most maddening bones. They are serious poultry shears. I haven't tried the fish scaler edge yet. I'm not sure how I will sharpen them when they dull though, hoping another buyer has some ideas. I tried them on a thick cut of steak to see how they performed and it was like cutting through butter - so if you have a problem using knives they may be good for you.

I haven’t used them yet. They are constructed well and based on using kitchen shears on chicken (which the kitchen shears were painful to my hands and they didn’t work for turkey), these shears appear to be made much better than kitchen shears.

My son loves these shears. He has used them on his deer meat multiple times when he has been butchering it. They are very sharp and very functional.
