Right out of the box, these shears were impressive. The design is sleek, nice curves and materials, fits in the hand well, very well-made and sturdy, the sweet spot of form and function. These have been used to cut many meats, most recently we even used them to cut through king crab shells. We are very happy with the purchase. The only negative I can say about these shears is that they do not come apart, and cleaning them can be a pain. It takes a decent brush to get into all the grooves properly if you want to give them a thorough cleaning after cutting up poultry..

Heavy duty, like the stainless steel construction should not rust. Like the spring action hidden so no food particle can get in like on the ones with exposed spring.

Had a pair that came with a knife set. Cursed it out every time I used it, fingers maybe from an infant designed for. This new one is excellent and easy to control. The pointy nose is great for pinpoint accuracy. Cut through chicken rib bones without a whimper.
