Jumper wires can be used for pin extension of the experiment board, adding experimental items, and the like. It can be connected very securely to the pins, eliminating the need for soldering and allowing quick circuit testing.

The 74HC595 consists of an 8−bit shift register and a storage register with three−state parallel outputs. It converts serial input into parallel output so that you can save IO ports of an MCU. The 74HC595 is widely used to indicate multipath LEDs and drive multi-bit segment displays. "Three-state" refers to the fact that you can set the output pins as either high, low or "high impedance." With data latching, the instant output will not be affected during the shifting; with data output, you can cascade 74HC595s more easily.
The 4N35 is a 4-terminal universal optocoupler that blocks the electrical connection between the signal source and the receiver of the signal, which effectively blocks electrical connections and interference. Commonly used in signal isolation transmission, switching power supply feedback control and so on. Common circuits include TV power supply parts (remote control switch, voltage feedback control), switching power supply, electric vehicle charger and many other aspects.

SW-520D tilt is a commonly available roller-ball type tilt sensor which consists of two conductive elements (poles) and a conductive free mass (rolling ball), encapsulated in the same case. The switch would be in the "off position" in the horizontal positon, "on positon" when raised to 15-90 degree or shakes. When the OFF end of the switch is lower than the horizontal angle by 15 degrees, it is difficult to trigger conduction when shaking. This switch is suitable for triggering small current circuits and is not suitable for power switches.

The PN2222 /2N3904 can be used as a switch that use a little current from the digital output to control the much bigger current of the motor. Because the small DC motor is use more power than an digital output can handle directly.

1N4007/ NI4148 Diode is a device which allows current flow through only one direction. That is the current should always flow from the Anode to cathode. The cathode terminal can be identified by using a grey bar as shown in the picture above. For 1N4007 Diode, the maximum current carrying capacity is 1A it withstand peaks up to 30A. Hence we can use this in circuits that are designed for less than 1A. The reverse current is 5uA which is negligible.

Having purchased individual items, this kit is by far much better for the price. I would however have liked it if there were more info about the parts, especially the LEDs as I’ve burned some of the green ones

Great assortment for a price I would never be able to cobble together by buying individual parts, I like that it comes with a hard plastic case, and the value can't be beat (probably).The LEDs are pretty low quality, and there are no specs included to tell me what resistor to pair with the LEDs so this isn't exactly a beginners kit. I either burn the LED out after several seconds, or it only lights up very dim. There are also no instructions on how to use the power supply with the bread board. Really for these two reasons I should knock off two stars but I'm only knocking off one.

I'll admit, I haven't really used it for the intended projects, but I have been using it for other things, and it's been working quite alright. I'll be honest, not a huge fan of the breadboard personally, I've already had 1 input slot go bad, and some are extremely hard to push components into, to the point I've bending the legs even with tweezers. But the rest seems to work fine, although I haven't tested most of the components yet. They definitely used cheaper components than another kit I bought, but I'm sure they'll work fine.

I searched several sites for the cheapest kit with the most components and this was the most bang for my buck . This kit has everything the more expensive kits had and all of the components were of good quality. And it all came in a nice , sectioned out, see thru plastic storage case . It has everything you need to get started on your electronic repair journey, breadboard, capacitors, potentiometer, led diodes, LCD panel, wires clips and much much more . I'm very satisfied with this purchase and you will be too !
