I can’t believe how good this thing is for how inexpensive it is. It’s build all out of lightweight aluminum so it feels sturdy but it doesn’t weigh a ton. It fit my Godox ML100R perfectly. Oh, and it has GOBOS. Magnetic gobos, specifically. Pop one out of the included sleeve that they ship in and slide it into the snoot and you’re in business. The magnets are plenty strong and the image can be adjusted for focus by rotating the front lens. With no gobo installed, you get a nice perfect circle to use. Some of the gobos are better than the others but I love that this inexpensive (by normal photography standards) snoot uses them—which means if you have access to a laser cutter, you can make some custom ones without too much hassle. The gobos show in my pictures are being projected against my home theater screen from about 10’ away. I didn’t spend a lot of time dialing in the focus but they looked pretty sharp to me. So, if you own a Godox ML series or Nanlite FC series light, I can’t suggest this item enough given it’s low price point, high performance, and creative environments it can create for you.

I picked this up to use with one of my smaller COB LED lights, and right off the bat, I was impressed at the quality for the price point. It absolutely does the job it's supposed to. Focusing the light beam and allowing you to project patterns. The build quality feels surprisingly robust; it's a solid metal construction, not plasticky, which is excellent. The focus adjustment ring also works effectively, letting you dial in a sharp, defined projection or a softer edge. The snoot comes with a set of 19 different GOBO patterns. The system for holding them is magnetic, making swapping them out incredibly easy and quick. A user-friendly design. However, while having 19 options sounds excellent, I found that in practice, only a handful of those designs felt genuinely helpful for the lighting setups I typically do. Many patterns are a bit specific or less versatile than standard window blinds or abstract breakup patterns. So, while the mechanism is excellent, the actual included GOBO selection might be a bit hit-or-miss, depending on your needs. One important thing to keep in mind, which is common with these types of attachments, is heat. The description warns about it, and yes, the metal barrel can get quite hot during extended use, particularly if you're running your light at higher power levels. As my thumb learned the hard way, handle it carefully. And keep some gloves handy if you're adjusting it after it's been on for a while. Compatibility-wise, just make sure you get the right mount (G Mount for Godox ML series, N Mount for Nanlite FC series, does not latch to mini-Bowens ). Overall, though, despite the limited practical use I found for all the included gobos, the snoot itself is well-made, works great functionally, and feels like excellent value for the money. It's a solid tool for adding more creative control to smaller lights.

This little gadget is a game-changer for anyone looking to add some flair to their lighting setup. It's compact, easy to attach, and comes with a variety of gobos and color filters that let you get creative with your shots. Whether you're aiming for dramatic shadows or colorful highlights, this accessory delivers. It's especially handy for portrait photographers and content creators who want to experiment with different lighting effects without breaking the bank. While it's mostly smooth sailing, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. The build quality is decent, but it can get a bit warm after extended use, so handling with care is advised. Also, while it's compatible with several lights, always double-check to ensure a snug fit with your specific model. Overall, it's a solid addition to your toolkit if you're looking to spice up your lighting game.

Its pretty wild to see a product like this in 2025. A decade ago a modifier like this was only available for high end lights and would cost several thousand dollars. This one is smartly made and fits the Nanlite FC-60B without issue. It comes with a bunch of different GOBOs and if you're into engraving, you could design your own pretty easily using something like the Creality Falcon A1. Highly recommend this one!
