This axe head sheath arrived on time and well-packaged. It's true to fit as described in the sales ad. The leather is heavy duty and the workmanship is good. I live in a very dry climate in Western Colorado so I may add some kind of leather treatment to stave off drying damage. I particularly appreciate the riveted edges of the product because they will withstand use with a sharp axe head. I recommend this product.

The axe mask fits my "boy's axe" perfectly. I'd like to have had a small strip of leather between the 2 sides of the mask where it's riveted, to prevent the edge from dulling against the rivets, but I needed one that fit sooner than I would have been able to make it myself. So far I know it fits & mine didn't have any of the defects shown in other's reviews. Little to no slack in the strap, that's a big plus too. The leather edges weren't tended to at all. They aren't burnished, & there's no edge dressing. Can't call it a "high quality" product. But I've got an edge dresser & can do it myself when I get around to it. I immediately put neeats foot oil on it in hopes of it softening & taking the shape of my axe more quickly. We'll see how that goes.I'm just glad it arrived in time for my canoe trip. Almost didn't.

I have a hatchet that I keep in my SXS as a just in case. I didn't have a sheath, I keep my tools sharp, and was using folded cardboard. Well that wasn't working. I got this, and it fit perfectly. It also stays on, keeps the blade of the hatchet safe. I would recommend this item.

I bought this "MOCOST Leather Axe Sheath, Adjustable Hatchet Cover, Protector Case Cover Camping Accessories Lumberjack Outdoors Work Essentials, Rustic Leather Axe Hatchet Head Sheath Made of Full Grain Leather" for my Council Tool 2.25# Boy’s Axe. This is just what I was looking for. A reasonably priced sheath to keep from cutting myself when I am rooting around the back of my truck! This sheath seems well constructed of leather with some solid rivets and snap. The leather may be thinner than some of the more expensive sheathes, but for my purpose it will work just fine. My axe head measures about 6 1/4" long and 3 3/4" across the blade. The sheath fit just right, but the strap was a little short to reach around the back of the handle and snap shut. I just soaked the sheath in some water for 15 minutes, fit it on the axe, and pulled the strap around until it snapped in place. Once the leather dried on the axe, it was a perfect fit. The leather on my sheath looks good, and I will apply some leather treatment to it. I expect many years of use for this Mocost Leather Axe Sheath!

Had to return it instantly and in total disbelief they would even ship one of this quality. Dried out and deeply cracked leather that I’m sure would fall apart in the first use

This is the second Mocost sheath I have purchased. The leather thickness on this one is noticeably thinner than the first. Still functional, but thinner. On both of my sheaths I have had to add a snap in the center of the sheath to firmly secure the sheath to the ax head. The vendor should add several snaps to make the sheath fit a larger number of axes.

Seems well put together for a relatively simple item. Made of good quality leather. The strap didn't quite reach around my axe head which I was expecting but after a 10 minute soak it stretch easily to fasten the sheath.

Unsure if it’s my ax or the cover, but the fit was way off. It was far too looses on my ax head. Other than that, a good product.

This fit my old Hudson's Bay axe perfectly (4.25" blade, 7" long head), and the quality is exceptional. The leather is very high quality and the riveting is perfect. It leaves nothing to be desired and certainly exceeded my expectations. Although the fit was perfect, I did immerse it in hot water and let it dry on the axe. It now fits as if it were molded to the axe. Whoever made this knew what they were doing, and cut no corners. I couldn't have asked for more, at any price.

I just received this and the hard leather is covered in deep cracks in a way I have never seen before. It fit my 2 pound axe head but the cracks are very troubling and make this a waste of my money. It looks like it is about to fall apart.

Fits my old Norlund hudson bay axe with 4-inch cutting edge perfectly.Now I can leave it quite sharp and covered and not worry about accident.
