Good product .Rated for 400 lbs. Not hard to put together except the last to illustrations were reduced in size to fit on the paper and because I'm a man I put the wrong bolt in the wrong slot and had to remove several bolts to find the error I made. Works fine I use regular shower curtains and just make sure they hang down I each side . Chair has a channel with holes to drain the seat. I think this product is a better and safer design then products 100's of dollars more.

My son had a horrific car wreck and is currently in a wheelchair recovering. He played college football & golf and needless to say is a big guy. I debated about purchasing one of the cheaper chairs. However, those aluminum legs on those just didn't look like they would support his weight. Many of the reviews said as much. This turned out to be a great purchase. It's rock solid and worth every penny. We're currently in an apartment after selling so fast our beach condo. The tub is rather small, but the chair fits perfectly. The height on both sides is adjustable. It was easy to put together.He is able to sit on the outside and work his legs over & scoot to inside the tub. We tuck the shower liner around him to prevent water from ending up on the floor. Works great. So glad we went with this one!

This transfer bench was easy to assemble using a Phillips head screwdriver. It is a solid bench, doesn't wobble, and is about an inch higher than the one from the insurance company which fell apart after little metal tabs broke from rust. This one has zinc screws and brass inserts in the plastic where the screws go. The knob on the outside edge is just right for holding, making for a safer transfer. The raised edge on the opposite end is a convenient place to hold for balance or sliding across the bench. The bracket on the inside front corner is perfect for holding the hand-held shower head; safer than leaving it on the floor of the tub. The cup on the inside back corner is good for holding a shampoo bottle, but difficult to reach if your range of motion is limited. No water drains from the bench onto the floor with this thoughtful design; it goes right in the tub. It is easy to clean, too. My husband's Occupational Therapist liked it very much as he worked with my husband on transfers. He said multiple times that I did a good job picking this transfer bench.

I bought this product for my elderly father to slide into my tub/shower with less risk of slipping and falling. The design is good and materials sturdy. However when I went to use it, the walls of my standard size one/piece vynal tub/shower were too high for it. The legs at full extension did not reach the ground. A dissappointment, as the main virtue of this design is that it bridges a tub wall so the user can sit down and then slide over into ths shower, lifting their legs. Otherwise a shower bench would do.

If you are a heavier person, this is the most sturdy shower chair you can find in my opinion. The first one I received was a little defective in which the bolt that locks in would not fully stay in and can suddenly pop in and you would drop down. I received a replacement right away and the second chair was fine. Due to its sturdiness, not as easy to move in and out of your shower.

What a fantastic, durable, well made, and strong product! The person I purchased this for went on and on about how impressed he was! It was easy to put together. He is really looking forward to using it. It holds up to 400 pounds, which was necessary in our situation, and you can tell it is very sturdy. The handle is non slip and perfect for a person to lift themselves up and out of the tub. Only one suggestion would be if it had holes in the seat and back for the water to flow through.

Overall, a nice product -does a good job.The flange on the inner seat is a good feature: something to hold on to for support and balance.It comes with a removable receptor to hold a hose shower head. It's a nice idea, but it doesn't fit very firmly in it's accommodating hole and rattles around and falls out readily. As well, in my case the particular hose shower I have doesn't fit it -I think the receptor is too small- and always is popping out.The inner legs are separately adjustable with popup buttons in holes - more than one review I read before buying advised making them shorter than the outside leg. I assume that's to facilitate drainage (in any case, we did do that and it drains very well, and the seat stays as dry as you could expect).But the front inner leg of mine, as set up by my home Occupational Therapist, doesn't sync with the slope of the tub, and so the whole thing wobbles if getting in I try to support myself by grabbing and putting my weight on the gray knob that rises mushroom-like from the seat. Uncool, so I have to remember to not do that. Likewise, getting out it's fine and stable to use the mushroom until: I start to stand up and take my weight off the seat. Then it wobbles.This is the reason I've withheld the fifth star.Now, it dawns on me as I write this that maybe I can fix that by shortening the front leg one more notch. MAYBE that will make it just the right height to accommodate the slope of the tub. My prediction is that it won't, that the leg then will be too short.Also very good looking -contemporary. The only one in the numerous I looked at that had any real styling, that doesn't look institutional. One reason I bought it.So I'm quite satisfied with it.

I have never been so pleased with a purchase. The transfer bench arrived as stated and was delivered to my door. The product was securely packaged in an Amazon box with plenty of padding. The bench, a Moen product, is expertly designed and engineered to perfection. It was easy to assemble, with arthritic hands and easy to set up in the tub. My tub does not have a level bottom; as it is an older tub that is sloped downward towards the drain. This downward slope made it difficult to stabilize other transfer benches and the outside legs broke or became too wobbly to safely use. The Moen bench is designed to avoid this problem with a large adjustable stand that sits outside the tub and stabilized inner legs that provide sturdy support for a safe seated shower. I used the bench right after it was assembled and was pleased to have a safe way to enter/exit the tub and a comfortable seat while showering. I could not afford this bench earlier and bought a Drive Medical transfer bench which was a complete waste of money because it was poorly designed and very unstable. The bench actually matches the decor of my bathroom, although I did not realize this when I purchased it. I use both a transfer bench shower curtain inside the tub and a standard shower curtain with liner outside the tub. The bench allows the shower curtains to lay flat enough to allow the water to drain inside the tub and keep the floor dry. The Moen Transfer Bench is excellent. I have never been happier with a purchase. It's 2025, 8 yrs later and I have a walk-in shower, so this sits outside it as my dressing bench. Still a great buy, easy to clean and tall enough to store a laundry hamper underneath for dirty clothes/towels and a whirlpool footspa. Excellent quality benchWorth ever penny.
