This is a review of the HOMLAND shower chair.Although I am not elderly, I recently experienced a fall that resulted in a dislocated knee. Unfortunately, this incident occurred in the shower, which has made me lose confidence regarding my safety. I had hoped to adapt to using a shower chair. However, the shower chair with a back that I initially purchased was too cumbersome for my small tub/shower combo and actually made me feel slightly less safe just because it was so awkward.I’m pleased to say that this little stool style shower chair has been the perfect solution.First up, the ease of setup was a relief. My brother assembled it in about 20 minutes. Once it was put together, we placed it next to a favorite chair to determine the perfect height. Adjusting the legs took only a few seconds, and it ended up being just right for me once we got it in the shower. This stool is lighter weight than my previous full-size chair; it takes up less space and is easier to manage than the chair with a back. Although I am heavyset and near the maximum weight limit for this stool, it feels very sturdy. I am confident about its durability, as it appears to be well made.Surprisingly, this stool is also quite comfortable. When I sat on it to test it in my living area, I actually said to my brother I was tempted to leave it in the room to use as a regular piece of furniture! I prefer the seat without the blue cover, but I appreciate that it is included; the comfort of the seat without it speaks to its quality.I also like that it features side slots for the shower sprayer, which is helpful when I need both hands free to wash my hair or similar tasks. That is a nice touch.I am pleased with this item and believe it offers good value for the price. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a shower stool.

I bought this for my shower so I had a place I could put my foot to shave my legs, it's super sturdy and I underestimated how much I would love the shower head holder on the side of it! Highly recommend.

The chair does feel sturdy. I’m 215 lbs, and it feels very stable with me on it. Putting it together is a breeze, and I had it done in less time than it’ll take you to read this review. The seat is comfortable and has two little butt-cheek sections on top to make it less slippery when wet. There’s a little cutout on both sides for your handheld shower sprayer.I like this better than the stick-on-foam-pad versions because those can peel off, and I feel like bacteria and mold can hide in there. This can be cleaned with a little diluted bleach, if necessary. There are no armrests and no back to it, but that’s what I was looking for. This will fit in a standard bathtub or any shower, and at under 5 pounds (2.27 kg), it can be moved by just about anyone.Like just about every shower chair, the height is adjustable. It goes from roughly 15 to 20 inches high and adjusts by pushing in a spring-loaded button on each leg.The hardware consists of 5 thumbscrews and requires no tools. The thumbscrews have big “T” tops, so even older, arthritic hands can easily put this together. Everything about it is easy-peasy.The only thing I don’t like is the price. Similar chairs with similar specifications can be found all over Amazon in the thirty-dollar range, while chairs in the fifty-dollar range generally support over 500 pounds (226.8 kg), and have cross pieces to reinforce the legs. This chair does not have any.I hope this helps.

The HOMLAND Shower Chair for Inside Shower kit includes a very well done manual with large text, a full parts description, and a packing list. Actual photos are used instead of diagrams which made assembly easy to understand. A QR code is included leading to an instructional video if needed. There are some typos and punctuation errors, but nothing major. All metal parts were protected with plastic sleeves for shipping. The hand screws and curved washers are all the same size so there are no mix ups or confusion during the build. One extra hand screw and washer was included. The two cross pieces are labeled A and B and have to be installed in order. Rubbers stoppers were installed in the cross pieces, so it is possible to use the chair as a low foot stool if you want. I removed the stoppers to install the extension legs for use as a shower chair. At full extension, the seat is as high as my office chair. Even fully extended, the shower chair is very sturdy and stable. The curved seat is comfortable even without the two included cushions. The cushions are 1/8" thick foam with adhesive backing. (FYI, the included cushions look different from the product page pictures.) The adhesive on the cushions is strong, but the pieces can be lifted and adjusted as needed. Personal preference whether you use the cushions or not. I liked the way they looked, so I used them. There is a handle on either side of the seat to help maintain balance while washing. There are two attachment holders as well, but my body covers both of them while sitting. For narrow tubs, you can also sit comfortably on the seat lengthwise.

Good so far. Sturdy. Smaller than our last chair, fits in our older tub much better.

It does go to 19.5" but only on either side. Need to retighten bolts periodically to keep it stable. ( and yes, the washers are in correctly)The directions are not very clear about the washers.

This is a sturdy, easy to assemble shower chair. Once assembled and put in the shower, it's easy to use, stable, and comfortable. It fits well in the bathtub, too. I like the adjustability so that it's easier to sit on and rise from. It's a little pricier than comparable chairs.
