Absolutely do not purchase this product if you are concerned with child safety. The screws that are provided are incredibly fragile, and break with the slightest bit of tension. While installing the very first set, i used the recommended drill bit and drilled pilot holes. However, every single screw that I tried to screw in broke. I finally used a screw of the same size from my toolbox, and it worked just fine. But no one should be relying on the screws for their child safety.

Of course there’s always a problem with having a stud that one can find. In addition, these are rather a light weight product. I had Repetative problems with the head of the screw breaking off. I went to the hardware store and bought some similar size screws And they worked better. I don’t think this product would satisfactorily restrain really heavy furniture. However, it is possible that nothing will do that.

Like others have said, the screws included in this set are extremely cheap and flexible. They strip very easily and the heads break off. Listen to those of us who have tried them and forgo using the included screws and use some real screws from the hardware store. It makes things much easier! I can't testify to the longevity of the zip ties yet but with the right screws, I feel my furniture is secure and will not tip with these brackets installed.

I love love LOVE these. Easy to install plus if you buy extra plastic zip ties you can move the furniture and reattach. I have these on basically everything large in the house. They work and keep my mind at ease.

Gets the job done but included screws were like butter bending and stripping in my hard plaster walls.

I love these. They are pretty easy and forgiving to install. I used them often when my kids were small. I recently bought some very high bookshelves and although my kids are older I felt that it would be safer to anchor them to the wall.
