When these fail, they must be replaced to restore convenience and safety. Max-Lift gas charged lift supports are engineered to fit and perform as well as the original units.

These worked very well for my mom's '99 Dodge Intrepid. The trunk lid actually stayed up quite well with only one of the shocks replaced. My family tends to own vehicles for many years, and there is a clear pattern of these lift supports with nitro-carburized rods lasting much longer than those that are chrome plated. One set has lasted over ten years. They are well worth the extra money.

These fit perfectly and work great. I can once again open my trunk without worrying about the lid falling on my head.

I didn't realize how weak my old trunk lid supports were, I just knew they wouldn't hold the trunk lid up any more. The new Monroes fit fine and had some brief installation instructions on the package. Installation was easier an I thought it would be, as the Monroe supports simply snapped on. I can not speak for their longevity, since I've only had them for a week. But, they make opening the lid very easy and hold it open very well.

Bought these for a friends car. Trunk lid & engine hood would not stay open with out a wooden two by three to support them. These are easy to install & fit well. Happy with produce.
