Replaced the falling ones in my car and it's amazing how effortlessly the hatch raises now. Guess I needed these for a while and didn't realize it. You can change these yourself as long as you're careful not to let the door crush you, just do one at a time.

It's been a pain trying to find hatch lift struts for a Toyota Matrix 2009. It's a shame how much the dealership overcharge for this part. This fits perfectly and is only a fraction of the cost. The shipping cost almost the same as the item itself (well two of these to be honest) but it was still a bargain considering the alternative. It's really easy to install and has been working very well so far. I would buy this again.
