I bought the "used" one because it was like $9 and it was near perfect condition for something that goes on the outside of a jeep and will most likely get bashed and pelted by rocks. Save money and get the "used" one!!

This unit was direct replacement for OEM on 1980 CJ7. Installation was very easy and dampener works perfectly

Just to change the same 13 years old one who started to leak. I haven't driven a lot my Jeep during this time, but 80% was off road with a lot of rocky trails. I thing that steering damper is good enough.
