I've had a similar survival blanket in the past and in comparison, this one feels flimsy. The stakes are also extremely thin and will likely bend when you need them. The picture gives the impression this is pretty large, but it's really only big enough for one person. I was able to fold it on the creases and get it back in the case, but barely. Overall, I'm not impressed with the quality or the utility.

This is one of those "better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it" items. In a pinch this can serve a variety of functions from a blanket/wrap, to a groundsheet, to cover--although not much cover to be honest. and 5x7 this really is far to small to rig up any kind of tent with--despite the pictures. It seems well made, and adding in some stakes and some paracord are nice, fitting it all in a zippered bag to keep everything together. In a pinch, it is better than nothing, but you might be able to assemble your own kit with a larger tarp. All in all though, not too bad.

I keep an ultralight camping loadout in the back of my car, which doubles as an emergency kit. These blankets are a great multi-purpose option to keep in there - I can use them as a blanket, a tarp over my bivy shelter, or a ground cloth. Durable and packs up small.

We ordered this survival blanket to round out the first aide items that we now keep in our car. Sometime ago we were driving through a long barren section of southern Texas and came upon an accident. The car had gone off the road and flipped over. There were several injuries, and one very severe. In this location there was a long wait for help, and we had nothing with us to help these people. It was a wakeup call for us and this versatile item will be a welcome addition. We are very pleased with this product. This is not like the typical thin silver survival blanket. It is heavy duty durable material with so many uses. I wrapped my granddaughter in the blanket just to get an idea of its size and weight. It’s big and sturdy with reinforced corners and grommets. Best of all it fits in a about twelve-by-seven-inch nylon case making it easy to store and transport.

It's a thick, stiff, heavy-duty, multi-layer tarp. Yes, it will be a decent emergency blanket, but it's not going to be the least bit comfortable. It's so stiff that it will almost stand up on its own. It's so stiff that it's difficult to fold up small enough to fit in the bag. It's so stiff...Anyway, It's actually quite versatile. It's a better survival tarp/bivy than a blanket, but it may save your life if you are freezing.

I try to keep somewhat of a survival bag handy. Ever since we had a really bad ice storm and I lost power for 3 days and water for 5 days, I try to be more prepared. This blanket will definitely keep you warm if you are ever in an emergency situation. It could really be used for a variety of things other than a blanket, too. Great for any camper or just for an emergency bag.

Used it for a liner for our tents to test out in the rain. Also used as a tarp shade. It's tough and durable and packs nicely

This emergency blanket is huge, and includes stakes and tie down cord if you need to use it for a ground cover. It has a reflective side to use for emergencies in cold weather where you need an effective blanket they can easily store as a compact bundle in your trunk. It's nicely made and definitely a quality piece of emergency equipment. The one aspect that might be an issue is that the storage pouch as often happens with these folded things, perfectly fits the blanket as it's folded up at the factory, but when it's unfolded in the real world and you try to fold it back up, you might have a bit of a struggle getting it compacted down to the point it goes back into the pouch. I'm sure if you carefully full that you can get it back into the pouch, but it would be nice if the storage pouch were just a bit larger.
