This ball maze is clearly defective. It needs screws at the top to keep the track together. The screws are provided, but the holes aren’t drilled and the screws are too long. The wood glue they applied isn’t sufficient and the ramp was beyond repair when it arrived. Super disappointed.

The wood look and weight of the balls is exactly what you want in this material however after only 2 months of use (frequent, for sure, but only by 1 child), the sides detached and the frame fell apart. We repaired it twice, and the 3rd time just let it go. Unfortunately our return window had closed by then. For validity, I am a trained Montessori infant/toddler as well as early childhood teacher and a parent of a 1 and a half year old.

Pretty much exactly what I was looking for. The wood is very high quality and free from sharp edges or flimsy parts. It was very easy to assemble and came with extra screws. The balls roll in an amusing rhythm and my 1yr old LOVES it. My only critique is that it is smaller than it appears in the photos. The measurements are accurate, but if you're not into reading the fine print you may be surprised that it's smaller than expected. Would definitely recommend this over a plastic one if you can afford it.

I bought a similar version of this for my kids when they were little, and they loved it. So I know this is a good toy for kids from those just standing: they can use it to help hold themselves up to kids up until about 5. Even older kids seem drawn to it for some reason.I love a toy that entertains kids without lights or sounds. I love a toy that isn't plastic. The one I bought years ago had brightly colored rubberized balls. This has muted color much harder balls. On a hard surface, when these fall off the toy, you are going to hear it.The only thing that could improve this toy is if they had a place for the balls to rest on top of the toy. My littles kept trying to set the balls on top, but they just roll off.I gave it as a gift to my great niece and nephew, and they both played with it as soon as they opened it and as soon as they got home.

Beautiful item however upon finally getting a chance to open it and put it together I discovered that the screws that go in the bottom just slide in and out, so either the screws are too small or the pilot holes are too large. Now I will have to find different screws in order to put it together, an inconvenience I don’t think I should have to deal with considering the price of the item.

This is a wonderfully designed product that is educational and engaging for toddler children! It is currently in my Montessori toddler classroom and has held up against active toddler hands and bodies. It’s fallen over m, been stepped on, and yanked from other hands and yet it’s still just as durable and study as when I first opened it. The height is smaller than other ball trackers, but I like it because it’s safer for my toddlers as well as easier to move around. The grooves at the top (to hold the balls when not in use) is something very smart and unseen before!
