Again one cannot even tell it was used. I am thrilled as her books are no longer in print and these patterns are only published in her books.

In this book the designer created some very interesting patterns using the top down technique. I found her explanations easy to follow and the book looks beautiful. I hope she'll continue publishing!

A good book at a great price. I have been wanting this book for a while. I saw the price on the used books and decided it was time to purchase it. It is a welcome addition to my collection of knitting books. The patterns are easy to read and understand.

Patterns based on top down knitting. She opened my eyes a little bit wider concerning knitting this way.

Davvero un libro bello e utile, con modelli abbastanza classici, e quindi durevoli nel tempo: i modelli troppo "alla moda" sembrano avere la data di scadenza: dopo tre anni fanno ridere e li devi disfare. Questi no, quindi il divertimento è doppio.

I was pleasantly pleased while looking through this book and the patterns. It has many classic patterns that can be a start for altering and adapting a pattern that anyone can create. The pictures are in color, and the patterns are are clear and very through. A person who is self taught would enjoy this book. It has material that will keep you happily occupied.

Yes Barbara G. Walker is still influencing modern knitters. This is a good book to get your feet wet with and then or even before- Get into Barbara G. Walker's books. Seriously if you want to design for yourself, explore new territory and develop your artistic side - Get her books and books that follow her style of knitting. I liked this book for the various patterns you can develop for yourself- especially skirt patterns. You don't see skirt patterns often-How Fun is that!

Book is excellent. well written, new information and detailed steps for top down knitting, which I know very little about. Patterns and modern and exciting. Made me want to do a project knitting each piece in the book.

I am an experienced knitter and have struggled with Barbara Walker "Top Down Knitting". Ms. McGowan, one of the most talented knit designers out there, has made the technique much more accessible with this book and its predecessor. Good designs and instructions.

I’ve already made the sweatpants and will start the skirt next. Every pattern is great, which is unusual for these books. Many are really just picture books full of fairly impractical items that are so highly styled that an ordinary person would never pull off such a look. This book, while wonderful to look at, maintains a practicality that is much appreciated.
