I used these to replace the skeleton lock and keys on my doors that originally came with my house. The bronze look is nice and they fit well on my door. I did find that one of the locks and key are very stiff, even after adjusting the screw that holds the knob. We have to keep this door slightly open or you'll get stuck in the room! I was going to return it but didn't want to go through the hassle. The other ones work great tho.

Item says it can be used on either left or right-handed doors, but that is not correct. Following the instructions to take it apart, It is clear that it's only meant for doors opening from left to right. There is no way to reverse this, as there is on the second one that I purchased from a different manufacturer.

Nice replacement for older skeleton key doorknobs. Nearly match originals and are adjustable. The handle seems to be of high quality, they do function well so far and were very easy to install.

this is supposed to be left or right sided you just have to dissemble the lock and glip the hasp which is not symetrical in function, and you will probably attempt it over and over might lose a spring when trying to reassemble, and the hasp doesn't always recess into the lock and "slips" a few times before it actually lets the door open. Really freaked out a good friend trying to get out of the bathroom. Changing it out.

Just screw on the ends, one at a time and insert through the door after the first one is on. Easy peasy.

This assembly fit almost perfectly into the old lock cavity. Just some slight modification to the edge of the door and the door frame latching plate location. It is a very nice quality and should last for a long time.

Are you remodeling? Does your dummy door knob look dumb? Then these are just the knobs for the job. In all seriousness, the glass knobs are thick and sturdy. They look more expensive, if that is a selling point. Personality, I just needed two sets of knobs for my remodel, and these were not only the best looking, but they were the best price. The spline is included, also some easily to follow illustrated instructions. No complaints here.

After years of trying to make the pre-existing hardware work, and then giving up on one and bracing a jar of cat food against the door, I have functioning doorknobs that look good with my old two-bore doors.Like several other reviewers have said, these slid right in place without a hitch. I’m having trouble getting the locks to work in the jamb, but I’ll fiddle with that another day. Thanks to the reviewer that mentioned these are reversible. If you need to do this, open with care. The spring went flying and parts popped out. Cat found the spring the first time that happened, and the next time it flew, I looked everywhere until I happened to see it dangling in my hair. Open it in a box or an all-white kitchen or such. Tip: while trying to reassemble, stick the spindle up through the spindle hole—like having a third hand.Very, very happy with these. Another reviewer said they last a few years and then get wonky, but until then I’m doing alright. If and when they go south, I’ll know where to find more. Really, really happy to have functioning door-knobs.
