The plastic locking clip is obviously very low grade plastic as I purchased this to solve a potential problem and it come down to it being the alternator so this had to be removed in order to change the alternator and the plastic part of it that locks it in place broke off. And let me say I use the correct tool and procedure in removal. So unless you're sure that this is your issue Don't waste your money because when it comes time to take it off it's likely that will happen to you.

I checked several other places for this exact item and one place (Auto Zone) had the AUDACITY(!!) to price their item at just under SIXTY DOLLARS!!! ($60.00!!!), FFS!!Another place I cannot remember wanted over $25.00 and even that was outrageous IMHO, so I ordered this part and installed it. This plug came with a crimp that includes a heat sealing goop that makes the crimp impervious to the entry of water or moisture when heated with a flame or Heat Gun. Where I needed to install the plug was far to tight a fit to use a Heat Gun so I used one of those extended neck Butane Matches for BBQ's and such. Things worked out perfectly. If I had ANY negatives to say about this is that it would be nice if they'd add an additional TWO inches (2") of wire to make crimping to the existing wire a little more convenient. But overall I give this SIX STARS for price and value!

I found this here for a fraction of the price that two autoparts stores were asking. One wanted $54, the other $37. This price is just what you should expect for a plastic alternator clip with attached wire lead and the quality is there.
