How to choose a suitable resistor?
After each change in resistance, please monitor for one week.(It is recommended to start testing with an 82 ohm resistor)
Result:ECO light off alaways or vast majority of time-It's suitable.
Result:ECO light still coming on frequently under normal driving conditions-choose a higher ohm resistance.
Result:CEL comes on and not go away after 1 week- choose a lower ohm resistance.

Bought this after seeing how other vcm muzzler were upwards of $100. Like other reviewers the lack of instructions and unlabeled resistors were a negative. Otherwise works great with the 82 ohm resistor, just had to cut back a little of the wire shield to get everything to fit correctly.

I was really disappointed with this VCM Muzzler Harness Disable Kit which I bought for my 2014 Honda Odyssey. While it promises to reduce excessive oil consumption, prevent spark plug fouling, and eliminate engine misfire issues, the kit caused more problems than it solved. After installation, the check engine light immediately came on and wouldn't turn off, even after multiple attempts to troubleshoot the issue.The kit is supposed to help with smooth and safe driving, but instead, it left me feeling uneasy about the overall performance of my vehicle. There was no noticeable improvement in driving, and the constant presence of the check engine light made me question whether the VCM harness was actually doing more harm than good. Additionally, there were NO instructions including, making installation more difficult than expected. Thank goodness for the internet! Overall, this VCM disable kit didn’t live up to its claims. The check engine light issue alone is enough to make me regret the purchase, not to mention no included instructions and the lack of noticeable improvement in performance made it even more so. I wouldn't recommend this product if you're looking for a reliable solution for your vehicle.

Quick 10 minute installation at most, and that is if you don’t know anything about cars (like me). Used the recommended 82 ohm and it worked instantly on my first drive. Awesome bang for my buck. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Works perfect with my Honda Odyssey 2010. Added triple power to my engine. VCM is stupid. Disable it asap Before your engine cracks.

Funciono de forma correcta en mi Honda Odyssey 2013, ya con el instalado no volvió a prender el modo ECO y se quitó la tembladera o vibraciones que hacía cuando se activava el mismo. Definitivamente si lo compraría de nuevo.

As advertised, disabled eco mode for a 2012 Odyssey. Started with the 82 ohm resistor which worked well until I tried hard to heat is up, at which point it wasn't enough to compensate. I wanted to use the 100 ohm resistor but anytime I used either of them it would trigger a check engine light on the vehicle. Both tested fine with a multimeter, so I have no idea what the issue was. In any case, I went up to 120 ohms and it is working fine and eco mode doesn't turn on no matter how hard I try to run up the temps. Let's hope this reverses the $5000 bill the dealer wanted to charge me to "re-ring" the pistons on the engine!

My 2011 Pilot with 140k was burning oil. The other VCM mufflers I saw were $180 and for $15 thought I’d give this a try. You’ll need to refer back to pictures on this ad to figure which the ohms each resistor is and how to install. It comes with no instructions. The resistors aren’t even labeled. I went with the 80ohms. The eco mode doesn’t turn on anymore and I don’t get the vibrations. BUT. I did get a P0430 code about 50 miles later. Reddit says it’s not related.Also, this is very chinsey, you get what you pay for.

El motor se siente genial, sin tropiezos qué el vcm provoca al entrar. Mi único pero, es que no estoy seguro me hayan incluido el fusible de 100, ya que no concuerdan los colores en lo absoluto con uno de los que incluye.

2009 Honda Accord V6 with ACM-Active Cylinder Mgmt. Did not like the bother of the on/off of the ACM. I bought this item and finally got to put it on. Very basic operation in that it tells the car's computer that the engine temperature is not warm enough to allow the operation of the ACM. Using a resistor, it lowers the the electrical signal.. I installed the 82 resistor on the wire holder, located the connectors on the motor, plugged it in and took it for a ride. ACM was deactivated and hasn't come on since. Fuel mileage went down from23 to 21 mpg but I had all the power-all the time. It's just too simple !! Well worth the $$$
