This is a very handy little box of nuts that are strong and well made. Based on SAE measurements, they are made of stainless. I tried a few out on bolts and the ran smoothly up and down the bolt. Really can't ask for more from a product. I also put on a bolt and over tightened to see how durable that nut itself is. With a simple wrench I could not cause it to jump. With a monkey wrench I could scar the nut, but not so much that it was unusable after one or two failed "turns". Thus these are quite durable. This is so much easier than digging around in cups and jars full of mismatched fasteners to find the nut that you need for a project or a replacement! Every handyperson and home owner should have sorted, labeled sets of frequently used fasteners like these as they'll save countless trips to stores. The two smallest sizes come in plastic bags; it would have been nice for all of them to come bagged like that as they move around from bin to bin in shipment. I have a set of thread verifiers (essentially, labeled machine screws) that can be used to quickly size and verify thread and I used them to check that the threads were clean on most of these sizes - they were - and to help sort out the mixed up nuts.

This stainless steel nut set is good quality, well machined and works good with a range of SAE bolts with no issues. The assortment range is very comprehensive, which I like. The set came with 405 nuts which is an excellent value for the cost.
