Arrived Bent. It wasn't totally destroyed, but it had an arc of bend in the middle that made the center bow up about a quarter of an inch. It can still be used, but for accuracy, I'll need to apply pressure in the center to unspring it to the full length and this minor inconvenience will possibly happen every time it is used. I'm not going to return it, but instead will try to correct the bend by stacking some heavy books on it to apply pressure in the opposite direction to see if I can just restore it to being flat again. I rated 3 out of 5 because although its not the worst condition imaginable, it is one that may interfere with measuring...and that's the main function of a ruler. I was surprised by this because I consider Mr. Pen to be a top notch brand and everything I have ever bought from them in the past was outstanding, so my guess is that the damage occurred after the ruler left their store.

This metal ruler will last several lifetimes. It's heavy duty and super strong. It's solid and does actually have weight to it. I like that it won't get dented along the sides which is important when trying to create straight lines. Highly recommend it.

Has a nice substantial feel and look. This isn't going to get lost in the mess on your desk. It's gold look was great and even had red tassel tether that I choose to leave on. At seven bucks, I'll put one on the grand kids study desk too, along with a nice mechanical pencil.
