Leaked at body connection. Had to remove it and will now buy a more expensive one (hopefully with some quality). I wouldn’t risk this one if you are debating, looks like at the time of my review it’s 2 out of 3 leak.Feedback to the manufacture....I found the issue. I disassembled the valve. The preload on the gasket was insufficient due the poor control of the body height. I ground the body to a lower consistent height (the 4 areas between the retention tabs). I reassembled and crimped the body back together. The valve no longer leaks. So after looking at mine, I can see this is likely a variation error, some probably work and some don't.

Installed the valve & it leaked coolant as soon as the system was filled. Reported the issue immediately & the supplier was extremely uncooperative, insisted I provide a picture of the valve while it was leaking, literally impossible because of its location on the vehicle. Despite multiple attempts to explain this to the suppliers rep they refused to acknowledge their item was defective. Gave up in disgust & obtained a replacement valve from a reputable source.

I’ve heard an abundance of talk about the cheaper plastic and generic heater control valves are of a better design that even last longer on the Jags (which I do believe to be true by the way). I don’t consider myself to be a purist in any way but for the relative ease of installation and proper fit right out of the box due to it being an oem part I am quite satisfied that it performs as it should. It allows coolant to flow when heat is called for and blocks it off when the ac is summoned. If it should fail again in a few years down the line I may consider a better solution at that time but for now I’m a happy camper.
