I just got a set of these HDMI extenders over fiberoptic, and they seem to work just fine. The box is very nice, and the transmitter/receiver units themselves are compact and feel like quality. Two things I've noticed: the units get quite warm (enough that I'm considering adding a heatsink to maybe improve longevity), and in the configuration I have them in they don't seem to need the extra USB power (the devices I have them plugged into are providing enough power to run them). It was tricky to find the right FO cable to work with these but they are available.

Bought this to replace another brand that I was having trouble with. The other one kept going to set up screen. This was a easy install and worked perfectly from the moment it was plugged in with nothing else to do.

It is not possible to connect witlessly sender and the receiver. The pair button on the receiver does not initiate pairing. On the website, the documentation only includes a pdf of the useless piece of paper you get in the box.. There is no actual troubleshooting guide. No information on the web how to fix/ use it. On youtube, there are ony unboxing videos made by manufacturer. What a waste off money!

This is fairly straightforward-- if devices on the transmit and receive sides both readily enter into standard HD resolution (1080p, 1920x1080).Pros:- pairs easily: the transmitter and receiver modules are both paired at the factory. There are buttons on both units to signal that it's time to connect. The manual shows how to manually pair them if absolutely necessary although I did not have to do that.Cons:- you may have to manually put the transmit and/or receive devices into HD mode before attempting the connection-- this depends heavily on how automatically adaptable both of those devices are.- limited to HD resolution. So don't expect this to transmit to a 4K or 8K TV in it's maximum resolutions. Be prepared to adjust both transmit and receive sides if they are not HD resolution by default. This product's transmitter does supply the correct resolution data to the source device-- at least it does with a Windows PC.I tried two scenarios. In both cases, the transmit source is a Windows 10 PC capable of displaying in a variety of resolutions including higher ones where it can feed my 34" ultrawide computer monitor.Scenarios:a) from PC to LG 4K TVIn this test, the two devices synced up after tapping the button on the transmitter. The TV did have a bit of overscan where parts of the Windows desktop did cut off. This would be rectified by using advanced features on the PC's display card's settings. Essentially you'd be shrinking the resolution by a small percentage. This is not unusual-- I used to have to do this with a standard HD TV connected to a computer. But I don't think I'd want to have to make this adjustment if I had to periodically use the source computer with a variety of display devices.b) from PC to ultrawide monitor (3440x1440)This was not successful. But most likely I would have had to adjust the monitor's settings manually to conform to HD resolution. (I checked on the PC and it had correctly read the transmitter's resolution and Windows had correctly adjusted to 1920 x 1080.)Scenario b) is pretty exotic. I figure this product would be most commonly used with a projector capable of using HD resolution.I consider this product to be reliable when both transmit and receive sides can readily enter HD resolution-- either because it's the native mode or because they can automatically adjust. I'm not sure I'd want to use this product for occasional use if the involved source and receiver require manual tuning because you'd have to tune and untune after each use.
