I am replacing my JL AUDIO 7.7 which lasted 3 good years but the tweeters went bad, plus cost me 3 times as much as these MTX. The sound of these MTX is very decent, so I am hoping that they stand the test and demands that the JLs handled.

Mounted in the Gunnels of my boat even with the front on my CC. I'm extremely happy with the sound, Base and Treble sound great for a stereo amp. They are much more power hungry the the 6" fusion speakers in my T top. Both are running off of the stereo head unit. I've had to adjust the fader to give the MTX's more power. These could really use an external amp, but will work well on a factory head unit power with a little tweeking. I've had them around 1 month so we'll see how they hold up, but so far so good.
