So I generally am not a big fan of bucket hats and especially not on me (hubby says they look good but I don't think so). I liked this one because it has a practical purpose for warmth (although it has not been cold enough for me to test bitter cold), its stylish like a puffer hat and it matches my winter coat.It is definitely is generous with its size so for a child or someone with a head size that tends to swim in hats, this may not be the one for you. I would say I probably have an "average" size head so it is great for me with some extra room if I have my hair styled differently.

In person, this hat looks approximately the same as it does in the pictures and seems to be of good quality. However, once on my head, the brim of the hat does not sit or fit symmetrically. Looking at it closely, I can't figure out why this would be the case--the seams appear to line up properly, and the brim does not appear to be larger on one side--but no matter what I do, it looks "askew." Perhaps my head or my face is the problem.As shown, it is possible to fold this hat inside-out inside of its crown to make a round flat "package." I don't see any point to this. You could just as easily wad the thing up and put it in your pocket--it will be getting wrinkled up either way. Given a choice, I would have preferred having it sit on my head symmetrically rather than being able to cram it into a flat round package.I have to note: if you do not cover your ears by some other means (for example, ear muffs or a different hat worn under it) you will not find this hat to be very warm at all. The lack of ear coverage is clearly shown in the picture and should not come as a surprise. Unfortunately, in my case, even a very thin beanie beneath it makes the hat too tight, so it might be a good idea to order a size larger than what you really need.

Hip Hop is alive and well!! My head isn't as large as this hat but I'll make it work! Love the nostalgia this bucket hat evokes. Soft and warm.

I measured my head before ordering but I would say to go up one size unless you like a snug fit. It's not a super thick padding and is on the slim side for a bucket hat. Very friendly for folding up into a bag and low maintenance care. Lightweight and soft.

I have a small head and ordered the small medium and it fit perfectly. I also have fine hair so if your hair is on the thicker curly side may wanna up a size. It feels comfortable on the head and its not tight an doesn't itch after wearing a while. The material is good if going out for walks and it rains or snows because it feels water resistant. I like that you can remove the straps because it was one of the things I didn't care for. Made me feel like an older fisherman. I also don't like that it doesn't cover the ears and would have liked that it sat lower on the forehand if that makes sense. Overall, good quality hat that keeps you warm.

This keeps my head warm and the waterproof material means it will hold up the the snow. I like the strap that you can add on as it will help with blizzard force winds. Very excited to sue this more when its snowing and not just raining
