This product does not work. The receiver doesn't allow one to talk or hear, and the speaker phones is low and makes a crackling sound when one talks.

Don’t waste your money on this phone! It’s very cheap quality. The most annoying feature of this phone was that it was inconsistent when hanging up the phone. Sometimes it would disconnect, sometimes it wouldn’t. For instance when I would be done talking, I would hang up the phone and when I picked it up again, there was no dial tone. Because I was intending for this to be used by my elderly mother with dementia, inconsistent functioning like this is unacceptable.The only positive aspect about this phone is the ability to program numbers and add a picture. I’m really disappointed this phone didn’t work out because this aspect would have been helpful to my mom.

I ordered one of these phones for my elderly mother with dementia. I set it up in the living room, programmed the buttons, and changed the labels, using a tiny screwdriver to remove the clear plastic button covers. The covers are a little tricky to remove, but fairly easy to put back on if you have good fine motor skills. Tabs on the button cover slide into slots on the button. The phone is working well for my mother. The ringer is crazy loud, but that doesn’t seem to bother her.After a few days, I ordered a second identical phone (same vendor) for her bedroom. When the second phone arrived, the box was partially open and the phone and accessories didn’t seem to fit nicely inside the box, which made me wonder if I had received a returned phone instead of a brand new one. When I unwrapped the second phone, the plastic button covers and pictures were loose inside the packaging instead of in their proper places like they were on the first phone. I quickly realized why—the plastic button covers were warped, so warped that their tabs would not stay in the slots intended to hold the covers and the pictures in place. Weird. So, order at your own risk. Maybe you will get a new phone that works or maybe you will get a badly packaged phone with unusable button covers. I returned the second phone and ordered an identical one from another vendor. It did not have the warping problem.These phones seem a little on the lightweight side, and I hope they hold up. I would willingly pay a lot more for a heavy, well-built, phone that I could feel good about, but I couldn't find another basic phone with this many programmable buttons, so I am hoping for the best with these.THREE MONTHS LATER: The original phone is still working for my mother and my family is pleased that she can call and answer the phone easily. Much easier for her to use than the cordless phone it replaced.SIX MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE: The phone continues to work.

Only reason for four stars is because when she’s talking on the phone, it sounds like she’s really far away sometimes but when she’s listening to people on the phone, it’s so loud she’s asked me to turn it down and it’s on the low setting so if you have a person, that’s hard of hearing it’s a great telephone because they never have to dial a number although if they need to they can — but the pictures and names on the squares make my 92-year-old mother more Independent on using the phone on her own rather than the cell phone is a little difficult for her.

Love the easy set-up to put pictures in for them to simply push your picture & not have to dial numbers! If you have a loved one that it is getting hard to use the phone, invest in this!! Thanks-you for making this product!!
