This phone is a little bit of nostalgia (dialing the numbers for my grandmother at any and every opportunity on a more modern phone) and a lot of simple childhood dream (that grandmother taking me to buy my first bedroom phone, me seeing a vintage black touch-tone phone like this one). I wanted that phone so, SO badly.I must thank Amazon Vine once again, for this appeared with no nudging to speak of.I have no intention of setting up a landline; I just desperately needed it for decoration and that little kid deep down that I'm finding ways to soothe. I cannot speak on sound quality.The phone is VERY light, being a thing of mostly Home Depot orange plastic, so keep that in mind as far as placement and whatnot is concerned. Don't expect the sort of durability out of it that you would have out of many of even other plastic phones of yesteryear.The handset cord is woven, so it should hold up pretty well. The wall cord is somewhat short, so if you're setting one of these up for actual use, make sure to double check the distance between phone jack and the phone's new home; you may need something longer.It's perfect for my purposes. Hopefully it fits into yours.

So retro funky cute. Very toy plastic-y, not like old phones - more like a toy appearance & feel. Great bright true orange color. Comes with all the cords to plug handset into phone and phone into wall jack if you still have a home phone. I really like this but it totally has the feel and lack of weight that a toy for a child would have. Doesn't feel real at all although it really is.

This voyage phone is so fun and comes in a simple design. It actually works and comes with everything you need to connect. I’m super happy with this item and it reminds me of a Clemson Orange color. Lovely!

This phone has sparked more conversation than I expected, when it first arrived. Younger folks don't recall that millions of home telephones once looked like this. Folks want to know if it actually works, etc.It's a novelty. It's fun. And I have the bright orange one that looks like a "hotline," so that's intriguing to people.I will say, though, that if you want a real "retro style" phone, Amazon lists models that are more like the old phones than this one. For example, this one has push buttons rather than an actual rotary dial. There are other key differences, as well, including the lighter weight of this model.I'm giving it 4 stars as a novelty guaranteed to spark conversation, but not 5 because I am more impressed with other models Amazon sells that are closer to the actual classic phones.

I carefully examined this phone, and it is a classic style, but most of it is black. When I saw this picture, to be honest, I was amazed. This is my favorite orange color, and I like this kind of creativity, not that kind of uniformity.

Cute phone and I absolutely love the color! My issue is that there are better options out there for around the same price. This phone is functional but not rotary which would've been a nice touch. It's also very lightweight, which may be nice for an elderly person but I'd like the weight of the old phone to make it more realistic.
