Very nice crochet kit for beginners. The case is a soft corduroy, with lots of pockets and space for storage. It came in a nice box, with the case shrink-wrapped in cellophane, perfect for gift giving.There is a nice variety, but small skeins of yarn. I posted a picture with this yarn and a regular skein of yarn, to show the difference in size. But for a beginner, who is learning how to crochet but not necessarily doing an actual project, this is perfect.There are different sizes of ergonomic crochet hooks, which I really like because it makes it more comfortable to crochet for an extended period of time, plus other equipment for crocheting. This is a well put together beginner crochet kit.

This kit would be a great purchase for beginners if the yarn were a little higher quality. It's definitely soft, but it feels cheap and it's very difficult to see the stitches due to the texture of it. A better beginner yarn for amigurumi in particular would be a high quality cotton. However, I think this is still worth it; the bag is nice and seems durable, and you get a huge range of hooks that seem sturdy and are comfortable to hold. It also includes things like stitch markers, a tape measure, and yarn needles that beginners don't always consider. For some reason there are also knitting supplies in it, however!

This is a well organized and stocked starter kit for any novice crocheter. It has all the little doo-dads that make stitch marking, joining, cutting and counting easy to accomplish and simple to store all in one secure bag. It's portability is another plus- easy to store in a larger tote bag or to hold like a lunch container. While the skeins are smaller, the good thing is that there are many colors to allow a newbie to craft small practice projects.It's also useful for more experienced crocheters like myself because you can stock in with new yarns and keep enjoying the portability and convenient space-saving storage it offers. Great gift item at a good price

I don't know if this is worth the price, but what was included is a lovely set if you are a fiber artist or shopping for one. The supplies are a bit scattered for use: crochet supplies include hooks (labeled in mm and not letters, heavy rubber grips). That's all. Everything else would work for other fiber hobbies as well as crochet, or for others and NOT crochet. The cable needles are knitting-specific, and all the rest could be used for a variety of yarn crafts, which is not a knock against the kit but if you're looking for really specific crochet things, you may be disappointed. The yarn isn't super high quality, as you might expect, but if you're just starting and you want a variety of colors, this is a nice combo of selections. The case itself looks like it was originally meant to hold a book, but the pockets are great both inside and outside. I like that the insert attaches by velcro so you can take it out or reorient it as needed for whatever you're working on. To bridge the gap for a new crocheter, you might want to include a conversion card/sheet for translating mm hook measurements to letters (if they're interested in following patterns), a gauge measurer, and a couple of the things pictured in the listing that aren't included, such as paper patterns and a little plastic organizer for the stitch markers. I'd say this is best to gift to someone if you're going to teach them yourself, or if they've been doing it a few months and have an idea of how to use the supplies included. True beginners with no experience may be more confused than encouraged with this set.

Wow! The packaging and presentation of this kit blew me away! There is just so much packed into this little kit! It is absolutely worth the money. I have not worked with the yarn yet, but it is acrylic, which is not my favorite yarn to work with. The case is a pretty, pink, soft, large wale corduroy and has room for other items besides the ones that came with it. I really can’t see where you would need anything more, though. The crochet hooks are super, quality, ergonomic comfortable, colorful grip hooks! When you are finished with the yarn that came in the kit, all you need to do is fill it with the yarn for your next project! Honestly, I would give this crochet kit 10 stars if I could!

This bag is so cute and comes with so much stuff! It is pretty compact overall but I feel still spacious.It comes with a crochet hook set but also a few little tools one might find useful-- a pom-pom maker, safety scissors, a tension ring, cable needles (as well as straight yarn needles), yarn bobbins, a tape measure, a stitch/round counter, and several stitch markers.It also comes with 710 yards of yarn (71 yards per skein) that is probably the softest acrylic yarn I've ever felt. I have worked with it some and it has not split yet.This would be a good kit for someone just getting started, I feel.
