Overall, it was easy to set up and store shoes in it. It helps organize the shoes well and it stands up well by itself. It fits well in the small hallway and it functions well. It is sturdy.

Shoe storage looks as pictured. Compartments are awkward. I ended up not even opening half the compartments. I used 4 and just put 2 pair in each. If you plan to use this with any shoe larger than I'd say men's 10 this isn't the best option.

For something that takes up so much space, you'd think you could actually fit something in here. Each slot fits one shoe, so don't bother trying to configure two to fit together. Underbed organizers work far better, especially for heels. Many more can fit, plus the heels can fit inside of each other to take up less space. I just don't see the point of this giant box. Even a shoe rack would take up less space!

The container makes it possible to create 16 boxes/slots for your shoes and 4 large boxes/slots for your shoes. You can even make L-shaped slots in case you need that much space for your shoes. High tops don't fit well in the small 1/16th boxes, but they do fit in those 1/4th boxes well or in one chunk of an L-shape, making it decent for those who have a few high-tops. Overall, I think it is rather practical for a few reasons:- Your shoes are all visible and accessible compared to how they would be if placed in a rack in a closet that you might just toss your shoes in.- They are a good way to visibly store away shoes you don't often wear and none are too hidden away as they may be when stacked on top of each other.- Great for those who own lots of running shoes or slippers.- It is a great way to organize an assortment of very different sized shoes ranging from 4-16 pairs.4/5 Good storage option. This shoe storage box is great. I needed a place to store my off season shoes without taking up a lot of space. The way this box is designed, the compartments are easy to reconfigure and can also be used for other storage since the dividers all fold away flat. This also stores the shoes vertically on end, so they take up much less space. I was able to store my 10 pair of furry winter boots and booties by folding away all of the dividers and laying my largest boots on the bottom staggered as you would in a shoe box. This allowed me to place another layer of boots on tops of them. I was able to stagger four more on top of that layer and the last two pair on top. I also had room to put my fuzzy slippers, all four pair, on the last layer. The protective clear top lets me see what is in there. When the fall comes, I'll be able to pack away all of my sandals. I know I'll be able to get more than 16 pairs of sandals in the cubbies because sandals flat pack easily. This has been the best purchase I have made for shoe storage ever.
