National Artcraft's thermometer mechanism allows you to make an indoor or outdoor thermometer. It mounts easily using the threaded center shaft, which is 1/8" long and will fit through a base up to 9/16" thick. The thermometer mechanism measures 1-3/4" in diameter x 3-1/16" high, including the built-in hanger x 5/8" deep. It comes with a 5-3/4" long black indicator hand that can be cut to length as needed. The temperature range is -40 to 120° F and -40 to 50° C. Batteries are NOT required. The included template is a guide and will need to be sized according to your individual project.

We have a thermometer on the porch that stopped working. This was an easy repair to get the thermometer working again. I wish the "hand" was a little wider; it's hard to see.

I purchased this as a replacement for a thermometer that stopped working. I disassembled the old thermometer works and replaced them with this product. I set it to the inside temperature, let it "cure" for awhile, then put it outside. It was WAY off. So, I set it to the correct outside temp, waited a day, then brought it inside. WAY off again. I did this several more times, thinking it would even out. No such luck. Today it is 12 degrees off. Bad purchase, would not recommend.

Cyclonic winds blew the hand off the thermometer (cyclonic I tell ya)!I was very happy to easily find a replacement. It's as accurate as a decorative item should be. I tweaked it up 10° to watch backyard guests sweat.Better than expected.
