Good product for light to medium duty security. I've been using these for outside refrigerator doors for over 10 years. Yes, they will rust a bit over time but still function. If you use the correct drill bit for the pilot holes and don't over tighten the screws, they won't back out. Also, if the hinge is installed correctly, the screw heads are NOT exposed when locked.

Used on the fish house to keep people out, worked great, had no break in's and would be hard to get this thing off for a robber. Nice quality.

Used for a project and it worked very well. Only issue has been some minor rusting on the inside of the hinge piece, mainly where it is screwed in. Other than that, no complaints.

Nearly perfect for my need, however the screws on the hinged part are exposed. As most locks are to keep honest people honest, this is fitting my need quite well. Room mate helped her self to a couple things in my room, now now more problem.

The screws broke off at the head, they were super cheap. I wouldn't use this outdoor because it is thin and easy to bust off but a cabinet or something indoors you are just trying to keep kids and nosey people out of, its great.

Easy to install, very tough, and great for keeping things locked up. I am very happy with this product and have bought several of these. They last a long time and work very well. Installation is fairly easy and straight forward. I will buy from this seller again.

This hasp worked as expected and seems very sturdy. My opinion is that virtually any homeowner lock can be opened with enough effort so what I hope for is something to slow someone down and/or discourage the casual thief who might take something if the door was open or easily opened but won't bother if he/she has to use tools and effort to get through the lock.

I have two other locks similar to this one. I use it as a backup for the simple door handles on my out buildings. It is easy to install, all screws are provided, installation took about 10 minutes, including gathering tools. On a wooden frame door, someone with a wrecking bar will pop it off in less than a minute, but that same thief could pop the hinges about as quickly. So if you need to keep out kids and nosey neighbors, get this lock unit. A little oil once a year keep them working well.
