These are impressive staples.I searched all my usual hardware sources and this is the best I found.I'm very pleased with the heft and gauge of these staplesI use them to secure the end loop zip line cable (3/8") around circumference of tree/post. Not as anchor (for that I use swages) but to keep the line neatly secured in the vertical axis of tree/post.

I have not used these and they may be ok. However, from the searching customer standpoint, the fact that this manufacturer deliberately chooses to use the weight in pounds as a measure of quantity is an immediate RED FLAG and cause to find another product. They very well know how many pieces are in the batch, but attempt to trick the customer into thinking the product is sold large volume/low cost amounts. Are we the customers supposed to guess how much an individual staple weighs and then divide that into 5 pounds to see if we are getting a good deal or not...? The answer if we have to do that is that we are not. AVOID. Many better 2.5 inch staples here and online.

Could not find these staples anywhere so I was happy to find them and they were heavy duty and large enough for my fencing needs.
