I don’t have my own dog. But I feed a cute black dog who shows up at my house every morning, and I’m not sure if she belongs to a neighbor or is just a free spirit who doesn’t want her own people, as my cousin the dog whisperer has suggested. I call her Luna. Anyway— she’s remarkably picky for an outdoorsy dog. I give her treats, bones, and dry kibble daily. Her usual thing is to grab a bone and take it down in a field with her eye on me so I don’t get too close, and then come grab another one. She eats the bones, then the treats, then the kibble. This has been her pattern for years. I only see her in the morning.BUT— when I put this on her usual middle of the road kibble, just a bit as a topper, she gobbled it all BEFORE THE BONES OR TREATS. Apparently it’s that good. I only put a few tablespoons on about a cup of food, so this is going to go a long way; I love that I’m getting extra nutrition and prebiotics/probiotics in her since I can’t take her to the vet (I’ve never come close to touching her.). I’ve spent a fortune on her treats and food over the years, so I want her to be well and I enjoy her greeting me every morning with a wagging tail. This is expensive but seems to me to be well worth it. I’m happy to make her happy.

As any pet owner knows, dealing with a picky eater can be a real challenge. I like to feed my dogs high quality dog food. I have a small puppy and a 10-year old dog. Both dogs are doing dog agility and my 10-year old competes in trials. Giving them high quality food is important to me and they both eat wet food. I added this food as a topper to their food and both of them like it. I didn't see either one specifically choosing this food over their other food and my 10-year old's poop is softer than it normally is, so I am watching how much of this I give her. She already takes probiotic supplements so this food with added amounts of probiotics might be too much for her. I do like the smaller size of this food because my puppy is little (9lbs) and will stay little so the small pieces are perfect for her tiny mouth.I've read about what to look for in quality dog food and I've not seen dog food where the first ingredients are all minerals. Everything I've read says about quality dog food says that protein should be listed first and minerals are usually found later on the list. On the website, it shows the ingredients for this dog food and shows minerals listed first and then in the middle of the list the proteins are listed but on the bag of food, it shows the proteins listed first and then the minerals. So I'm a bit on the fence about this food since it shows the ingredients listed two different ways. It does say it is made in the USA so that is also positive for this food.

Our pups have a rotating buffet here, and it's difficult to predict what will come into vogue and go out of style, so adding this quality dog food/topper to the lineup gives us some great choices.High quality product with "clean" ingredients. Passes the "human sniff test" easily!Easy for the older, nearly toothless dog to chew - is a great size for Mom's toy Poodle, and gets vacuumed up by my heeler.I thought it would go over as a topper to their regular kibble, but it turns out the pups prefer this as a stand-alone. I get it - sometimes you want the steak with creamy shrimp atop it, and sometimes you just want shrimp on the side and a quality steak on its own.Apparently our dogs want a quality steak and keep the shrimp to the side, as once it was in a singular bowl by itself, it magically disappeared.Digested easily - no issues at all with even Mr. Picky Stomach, and seemed to provide good energy levels with a minimal amount of food. That's one thing I love about this - we're not having to feed hog trough portions to get a day's energy. The food is compact and efficient in nutritional value.On that note, know that it's worth the investment for the price. The bag may seem small, but you're getting the nutritional equivalent of a massive bowl of regular kibble in a smaller footprint. For that reason, it would make an excellent "travel" food for when you're on the road.Can definitely recommend and count it among the really great finds here!

My Labrador absolutely LOVES Naavi - I put on top of his kibble and he really enjoys getting that smokey flavor from the slow roasted meats and he loves the fruits and veggies that you can actually see! I'm happy knowing there's prebiotic and probiotics in there too! Koda drools when he sees the Naavi bag! (And it's sooo much easier to feed than raw or fresh!) Yeah! I hope you come out with more options in the Naavi line!
