This product works great. I have mine plugged into an outlet next to my natural gas stove. It is extremely easy to install, just plug it into a power outlet and it is ready to go.It lets you know very fast if you leave your gas on. It is very loud and accurate.This is such a great and simple product and I would recommend it to anyone with natural gas appliances even if you have a home system. Plug them in by all your gas appliances for fast and accurate alerts.Great price for such a good quality product that just works great and keeps you safe.

For the first time since I was a kid living at home, I have gas heat ad water heaters, plus gas fireplaces.Never having had these things, I am a bit worried about "what if". This thing sets my mind at ease. I've plugged it into a basement outlet (because that's where the furnace and water heaters are, and it'd be the place to see the first sign of trouble.I plugged it in, and it announced that it was "warming up the detectors", and started a countdown to zero. When it reached zero, it blinked, and a green light came on, and it was silent. I guess it's "on guard" for me against gas leaks.I plan to do some testing and see what will set it off -- when I know, I'll let you know. Meanwhile, I'll be getting more of these -- at least one for the kitchen where the gas stove is, and one for the upstairs hallway, where we have a gas fireplace in our bedroom.For now, at least, I've got to say that it's what I figured it would be, so I'm giving it 5 stars!

Do not buy this if you don't have somewhere up relatively high on a wall to plug it in.

Kept going off in the middle of the night. I reset it by unplugging it and then it was fine. I had a backup detector that was not going off.

I love the combination of both natural gas and carbon monoxide in 1 monitor. We do have another carbon monoxide on the other side of the basement but this one is closer to the house mechanics.It’s been working well for 6 weeks. The test button triggers the alarm as expected and it was fairly loud. I would probably hear it at the top of the stairs, but maybe not in the bedroom down the hall during the day. Maybe at night when all is silent. I like the combined functionality and sense of safety for the family.
