Was hoping my picky eater would like this but it was a no go. I tried feeding these to her as is from the bag, rehydrated by itself, and rehydrated mixed with some of her favorite wet food-all attempts were met with a turned up nose. The smell is very strong, which could be good or bad depending on your cat-and with my picky princess it was bad.

All my cats love the freezer dried raw flavors now that I know how to feed it to them properly. My one senior cat will vomit with anything beef but that isn't this items fault. My kitten gets diarrhea easily and I've found the freeze dried helps firm up his stool a whole bunch to help with how bad it gets sometimes. I use this as a treat or mixed in with their wet food. I typically don't add water and they prefer it that way. They always have water bowls all over my house and I'm not noticing any issues with dehydration in them.

I use this has a hot, reconstituted breakfast for my kitties. My Old Lady enjoys the toasty tummy post meal fuzziness she gets followed by a nice snooze. I like a shelf stable food not full of preservatives and chemicals.I just crumble the biscuit and add hot water, or hit broth for a treat. I can add more liquid if I think hydration might be an issue. All kitties seem to love it.

I had to presoak this to soften it. My cat didn't want anything to do with eating it otherwise. My cat still was not fond of it after making it more palatable. I ended up giving it to my dog who loved it. I shared it with my neighbor whose cat was totally loving it. I think I have a snooty unappreciative cat. It smelled okay and looked pet eatable. I will try my cat on it again and leave more feedback.

We're fostering, and the cats including our 13 year old OG like this except for the one who was the slowest to adapt to adult dry food. It even brings out a touch of the food aggression the kittens had months ago, where they growl over their bowls. And we have to keep them from stealing off each other's plates. Two of them need the large patties to be broken up into bite sized pieces and dust which it does easily since it's basically freeze dried meat. It's a good meal supplement when they need the extra protein and I'm not mad about the clean ingredients.

I like using this as an additive to canned food that's otherwise not very healthy. Crunched up into their usual meal it absorbs liquid well and adds extra flavor. Some cats like it and some don't it all depends on what food your cat is used to and then their individual tastes on top of that. If it doesn't seem like they're responding to it, try using hot water to up the smell. You might not like it at that point but it can get them going.

These freeze-dried meat patties seemed to be a good and unusual idea for cats, and with lots of good ingredients, so we thought we'd check them out. Our cats are sort of picky about treats and things that aren't the usual canned or dry cat food, so it wasn't all that surprising to me that some of the cats were uninterested while a couple of others were okay with the patties. I first gave them to them whole, and the main cat who seemed to like the patties licked that and nibbled at it a bit. Next I crumbled the patties up, and again the same cat was interested while the others weren't. After that, I took the crumbles and mixed them with water to rehydrate them, and thought surely more would be interested in something like that that resembled wet cat food, but once again, only the one cat was into it, and she did eat a pretty good amount. We had a similar reaction with the outside/porch cats - most seemed relatively uninterested, however, the patties disappeared overnight so somebody ate them! I'd say these are certainly worth a try to see if your cat likes them, and if they're already on a grain-free diet I suspect they might! We knew it'd be a toss-up with ours since many of them are "maybe, maybe not" about such things, and they certainly are made with good ingredients!

These patties are totally dehydrated and measure 2.25" by 2.5". They are light and easy to break into pieces. If you want to give your cat wet food, you break a patty up, add water, and mush it around until it is just like canned wet food. Easy, and great to keep on hand when you have forgotten to pick up your cat's favorite food at the store. My only objection is that both of my cats threw up every bit of the patty. I broke the patty into bits and made it into wet food and although the cats liked the smell and ate most of it, their internals would not tolerate it more than one or two minutes. The vomiting was immediate. I need to qualify this review by saying that neither cat has eaten cat food with beef in it. That may be the problem.I gave the product a 2 star review, because each cat has his/her own taste in food. Just because my cats threw up doesn't mean that your cats will also. Try it, maybe they will enjoy it more than mine did.
