The glue holding the flaps together and making up the envelope fails, and pieces of the envelop fall apart.

There's something about a kraft envelope that is so appealing, even to hold receipts and important paperwork. I use these in my filing system to store all of my paperwork for taxes. I was short 2 envelopes for the 12 months of the year so I will need to purchase another set. I really like these, the closure is great, and they fit well in my filing system. These are made well, and will last forever to keep my papers organized.

I picked these up to try out in my on line ephemera store to use with junk journal scrap packs.Pros:These are decently rigid and thick. I would trust these to store and ship paper that you wouldn't want folded. These are card stock like.Good size which accommodates standard size printing paper (8.5 x 11 inches) with out issue. This set comes with two size envelopes in 13 x 9 and 12.2 x 9 inches.There is a little wiggle room. These are loose enough inside to offer space for a little thicker stacked paper piles or documents. Mind you, you aren't going to fit a 100 page report in these, but you'll get more than a couple sheets.These look nice. Nicely made.I like that this set has two different styles of envelopes- horizontal and vertical opening styles.Cons:I'm concerned with the closures. The string is more like two threads twisted together and I question it's repeated use and durability.Overall, considering the present price of $11.59, these are with in fair market value if not cheaper for this size and style envelope.
