The product comes in a beautiful wooden case and the whistle itself is nice but doesn’t work! More of just a dust collector for the shelf! Since my husband is a vet and has used the real ones in the past we were both disappointed that it really just for show!

The brass boatswains pipe doesn’t work. It is cheaply made and an absolute waste of money. The box that it comes in is way to nice for the garbage of a pipe inside of it. My advice if you want an actual boatswain pipe, DONT buy this one!

This bosun's pipe looks great but doesn't work well, at all. It is not tuned, not even close, i.e., the "gun" is too high causing the air to not go into the "bowl" or "bouy" creating a lot of hiss. To overcome this the person has to blow a lot harder into the "gun" to produce the high pitched clear tone expected. The parts are all there but not precisely crafted to make the thing work. There are ways to tune (see YouTube) but I'd rather purchase a pipe that's pre-tuned than one that just looks pretty. Would not buy again.
