With the ability to switch from hallway to bedroom and keep a comfortable temperature is great. The master room is always warmer than the living room. With this I can have the master room at a lower temperature. During the day I switch to the hallway and it saves energy.

I bought two Google Nest Learning Thermostats. The learning is more for me than for the thermostats. Now that they are working with my HVAC system, I love them. They replaced my old not-smart electronic thermostats which were acting erratic. But the short instructions paper and the online remarks seem to be suited for older Google Nest thermostats. They talk about replacing the AA batteries. But there are no batteries to replace. Oh, there must be an internal rechargeable battery— there is a USB port. No instruction comment about charging the thermostat up before trying to install it. That helped. My old thermostats were 4-wire. They never knew about heat pumps. I don’t have a heat pump yet. These new thermostats require 5 wires to control the AC compressor. Fortunately my house thermostat wiring had five conductors. I had my HVAC maintenance guy come to the house and connect the fifth wire from each thermostat to the proper post on the HVAC controller board. He also chose better connections for the five wires at each thermostat. Turns out one of the wires was using the heat pump terminal instead of the air conditioner terminal. Now it works. Confused? Well, so was I. The thermostat has ten terminals, but the instructions give no clues as to what each is for. They look great on the wall. I do like them. I just wish there was more information in the description about retiring requirements. The maintenance guy knew what to do. But I only install thermostats every ten years or so. Technology changes during the lifetime of my thermostats.

I love the thermostats ability to monitor more than one sensor and how easy. It is to use this feature. Wired it by myself easy enough.

I got the nest thermostat with a temperature sensor. Installation and activation was so easy. I love that it connects to Google and Samsung's home control apps. It immediately started learning from how I set it throughout the day. I love that I can make adjustments from my phone instead of going across the house too.

Ordered in July 2024. It is now November 2024 and it has went offline and no matter what I've tried it still won't go online. It works if you adjust at the thermostat but my old, dumb, much less expensive thermostat did that. Customer service is difficult to get ahold of. Finally got in touch with a human and after telling them I had already followed the troubleshooting process several times, they decided to send me a replacement Received replacement and it solved the problem.

This one was purchased as a wedding gift, but we previously bought two others for our home and we love them. They are easy to program and look good in our home.

This product is, or should be, a bundle of two things: a thermostat & a sensor. At first I received two SENSORS. Returned those. Next they sent me just the thermostat, which was more useful, but (1) wrong color, and (2) no sensor. I need this to keep an elderly relative comfortable so decided to just install the thermostat & buy the sensor as a fresh purchase. Come on, Amazon, get the basics right: make sure what you ship matches the description! As for the product, I found the thermostat well made and easy to install. Some frustration though connecting it to the Nest app. I had another nest thermostat already installed and when installing the new one, it wanted to talk to the old one to get details. But that step never completed so I could not continue. In the end I deleted my #1 thermostat from the app & reinstalled in the other order, so #2 first. It worked, which is great, but gosh it should have been easier. I guess the developers did not sufficiently test the scenario of multiple thermostats. Overpriced considering simple function, more geeky than it needs to be.
