I haven't tested all functions, but the cable length tester is worthless. This is a very important function for me It isn't even close. Numbers are imaginary. Tried on multiple premolded cables as well of various lengths in both CAT5 and 6.

It tests cable functions as advertised…. Wire faults, incorrect alignment. As for cable tracing, it’s a child’s toy. It only senses cables when the tracer is right next to them, making it pretty much useless. Other units with much better performance are available for the same price of just a little more.

With everything this little product does, you do not need all those extra's, we all carry... but I still will! I have bought highend expensive FOX/HOUND setup and they never seem to get a good lock or loud enough. This thing works great and at long distances. The cable tester is spot on as I made some good and bad connectors to test. and it is spot on! My only two real negatives but are not critical, is the cable measurer, I do not believe is totally accurate and the over all plastic housing seems a little cheap. But I take care of my tools and for the PRICE... I wont buy the expensive brand again! Thank you!

Es muy completo para su tamaño, la pantalla te ayuda mucho para identificar cables mal ponchados o dañados, te dice el voltaje y los pines de la energía lo cual es muy bueno para identificar equipos que no utilizan PoE estandar.

I went through all the functions on the unit and every one worked well. I do wish the main unit used 9v battery instead of 3 AAAs. My main unit is still a Greenlee but it doesn't even come close to doing all the things this set can do. The best feature is the PoE tester. Accurate and verbose. The cable tracer is a fantastic addition. I've used cheaper cable tracers with limited success. This has been great thus far.

I chose this tester to replace the old analog tester that I had been using for years. I had originally purchased a digital tester from one of the home improvement stores but returned it without even opening it after discovering this tester on Amazon. First thing was the price, $90 vs $50. Second thing was that this tester will work with POE connections. A tester that offered this function from the other company was over $300. For only $50 this is an ideal tester for the home user, if you're business depends on this type of tester for everyday use the $300 item may be better suited for you.Also, there have been a few reviews complaining about the accuracy of the cable length function. If you take a look at the specs they claim an accuracy of plus or minus 1.6 meters.
