These quad bilateral switch IC chips are bread board friendly and they do work as they should when supplied with the proper voltage. Using them in an arduino environment works great to switch higher voltage like 12v DC or for bare relays as it is isolated and they are analog so it's good for projects that need to be controlled with the smaller footprint as possible.
