Title states it all. Easy install, works out of the box. Tested prior to hooking up.This is my second unit unfortunately, the first unit for some reason or another I used batteries - I guess with the moisture and the battery housing, it ended up corroded throughout the main console... This led to the valve faulty opening and closing, eventually closing and never opening the valves again which I then uninstalled the old unit. Again, I would not recommend the batteries unless it's a camper type situation or temporary use but that's my experience.

This seems to work great and do what I want it to do in testing.I have found that placement of the board is key, you definitely want to leave it somewhere easy to access to deal with random drops of water getting on it.

I installed this when I replaced the washer and dryer and it was well made and easy to install. If you read the reviews about any new washer and dryer, someone will post something about a catastrophic leak even on new machines. I wanted to make sure it doesn't happen to me. It was actually higher quality than in the photos.

I installed the system and one of the valves did not work. The valve wire connector has very flimsy pins and I found that one of the two pins did not connect. I had to bend the pin straight and carefully plug it in. After that the system worked perfectly. Dropping water on the sensor closed the valves.

I wanted to like this for my upstairs laundry. Fairly easy to connect. However, the valves are maybe 4 inches out from the water connect. The way my washing machine is set up the valve would stick out four inches from the wall and right into the back of the washing machine. It’s in a closet with no room to pull washing machine out. So, after installing it I realized this is as a disaster waiting to happen by it rubbing against the valve and maybe breaking the line. I had already put the control unit on the wall with the provided tape. Pulled up a chunk of drywall I now get to repair. Be careful and measure the clearance from the valves to the machine. Had to return it

Bought this (along with new washer supply hoses) to protect against potential water leaks from a tight third-floor washer setup where the hoses and the regular shut-off valves are very hard to reach. It's a little expensive, but probably worth it. The product was easy to install and seems like a well-designed and well-built product. Being able to easily shut off the water supply with a simple push of a switch when we aren't using the washer is an added plus for peace of mind (e.g., when we go on vacation). I'm waiting to see if I can get a discount on my homeowners insurance.I thought about giving it four stars because it isn't a "smart" product, but then I realized that it doesn't need to be. If the Floodstop detects a leak, it will shut off the water and should prevent major damage. If I'm home, I'll hear the alarm and I can check it, but it's not likely to be an emergency (if the product works as advertised). If I'm not home, getting an alert on my phone wouldn't really add much value. And not having to connect a product to wifi eliminates an additional and sometimes problematic installation step.

Easy to install, and worked each time I tested it by putting a little water on the sensor. Brings peace of mind by protecting against a rare but costly event. If this has a 99% chance of working in the event of a catastrophic failure, then it reduces the risk of such a failure by two orders of magnitude. One tip: MEASURE the distance from the nearest power outlet before ordering. The power cable that comes with it is about 10 feet long. It turned out I needed to order two of the power supply extension cables that are sold by the same vendor for such cases in order to reach all the way from the closest 120-volt outlet.

Floodstop is easy to install and works well. Shortly after installing Floodstop as a precaution, our washer overflowed. True to its intended purpose, Floodstop detected the overflow and shut off the water so quickly that very little water reached the floor and zero damage was done. Although not cheap, Floodstop is definitely worth the price.
