So my girl is a spooky little lady and I love her to pieces. When I saw this skull I just knew she'd love it down to her black little heart, so I had to get it. When it arrived I was extremely excited because it is top quality. The material it is made out of seems like some type of ceramic or something. Feels way more like bone or ivory than plastic would. It comes with a list of all the bones numbered that matches the numbers on the skull. It has a great weight and feels nice in your hand. The skull top is removable so you can see the parts inside the cranium. The top holds on with a few magnets so it is firmly in place and will not easily fall off. My spooky little sweetheart was very impressed with this skull and it made her dark little day. 100% perfect for a medical student or anyone that appreciates a well rendered skull.

Being an ex-premed student, I've always appreciated the human anatomy. This human skull replica is a very accurate reproduction. It measures approximately 5 1/4" across the front, 8 1/2" deep and 6 1/2" tall. The skull is labeled with numbers that can be crossed reference with the included sheet. They also include an excellent guild to of the cranium fully labeled and from different angles. The top of the cranium is held in place with plastic pins and two strong magnets and can removed. The jaw (mandible) is spring loaded and can be manipulated to open and close. This skull is perfect for medical, biology and art students, doctors or anyone who appreciates the human skull.

This is a sturdy, detailed model skull. I'm using it to compare the differences in male and female skull structure and it's exactly what I needed. The bottom has an opening for what I assume would be connecting to the spinal column if it were an entire skeleton, but I find it a handy place to hold the skull while I'm talking about it.It has a spring-loaded jaw and the top of the skull comes off, though it's a bit tough to remove. Overall a solid model.

Better than the models we had in anatomy class. Jaw has a working hinge with spring closure. The skull cap pops off for a detailed visualition of the brain case. Comes with a small-ish diagram of all the views with anatomical descriptions. Overall, very well built. I got mine for free to review, but I'm not afraid to call junk junk. This is not.

First off, I'm not a med student or anyone who really has any reason to have a model of a skull, but I do enjoy learning for learning's sake, and this skull is so very interesting, with all the markings very clear and easy to identify against the chart that's included. The skull is weighty, but easy to hold and examine, and the magnets that hold the top of the skull to the body really contribute to the solid connection, with no danger of the top coming off unexpectedly. The jaw is firmly held shut by the spring, but can readily be opened to observe and examine the way the jaw moves, and the spring is easy enough to disconnect if needed for closer inspection. It's a great tool for study and reference, and also looks accurate enough to be visually pleasing (if you're oriented that way).

.Classic - Highly realistic - The educational materials included are a nice touch. The magnets hold the cap very firmly. My only complaint is the edges on the removable cap are a little rough. It's a detail that is not a big problem for me.There is obvious attention to being accurate and as close to realistic as possible. The teeth are colored realistically which adds to the accuracy .

It is to scale, comes apart, and the parts are labeled. This will be useful for science and for Halloween!

Just amazing details like a real skull with differences between sides. Great teeth and TMJ articulation. The skull is made of a very durable material that seems to be easy to clean. The labels were durable and easy to see even though they are sometimes very small and sometimes in very tight spaces. The index paperwork that comes with it is first rate. This is a great learning tool. I taught collage level Anatomy and Physiology classes for many years and this is exactly the kind of model we had in class for the students to learn on and to take lab practical tests. The labeling included many of the named processes and protuberances as well as sutures, fissures and foramen. The split in the skull is in a great place to make the typical inside view like in the textbooks. On the negative side I was disappointed that the small bones in the nasal area were not marked on both sides so I could see how they made up the inside of the orbit. The bones of the orbit are hard to learn. The temporal bones are also not shown but they are so easy to damage that it may be better not shown to prevent damage to the skull.Overall, I think this is an excellent learning tool and it exceeded my expectations. The price is excellent for the quality of this tool.
