Not only did it not help but it was bent during the first use. What a waste of money.

This thing had one job—and it did it like a champ. I was about to challenge the broken pipe to a duel, but this extractor swooped in like a DIY superhero. Solid grip, easy to use, and made me feel way handier than I actually am. Definitely a great gift for the guy who insists “I got this” (and for once, actually does).

This tool EASILY helped Me to remove a broken off pipe stub. The tool functioned perfectly and was really easy to figure out how to use it. This can be a real problem solver for when you’re in a bind!

Inexpensive, adjustable extractor for broken pipes. Use this when a pipe breaks in a fitting, and there is not enough of the broken pipe to grab onto with a wrench or pliers. This extractor is designed to fit all sizes from 1/2 inch to 1 inch. It's a little hard to adjust it to various sizes, but it works pretty well in the end. There are other sets of extractors for fixed sizes, but they cost over $70 a set. For the home handyperson, this is far more practical.HINT: No instructions are included. Look at the Amazon listing for this item to find instructions.

I ordered this since our plumbing is getting older. I had a faucet pipe break and had a challenging time getting the broken piece out of the pipe. This is a very nice quality too that has a great spline to expand on the inside of a broken pipe then tighten open so you can then spin the broken piece out of the pipe, The splines are good and sharp so they grab great. The bolts are good sixed to hold the tool open without collapsing while turning the broken pipe out. I am very happy with this tool and would order it again and recommend it to others. I like the plastic tube case that keeps everything together.

Great pipe extractor. A well thought out design, with quality materials. I like this more than a easy out because it has a wider range for sizes and seems like it will handle more torque removing the stubborn broken pipes. Great product. Highly recommend

I have various sizes of [broken] pipe nipple extractors. I've seen the adjustable style used on a couple YouTube videos with success and have wanted to add this style to my toolbox. I've yet to need it, but I'll be looking for a chance to break it out. Sometimes you have better luck with one tool over another, and this is just something to add to the arsenal for the time it's needed. It feels well made. I've seen other styles that have two parts that turn against each other with a wrench to achieve the same effect of expanding. I'm not sure if this style with the hex head bolts will work better or worse... I could see it being a little fiddly perhaps. But because it will be used in worse case scenarios or when it's absolutely necessary maybe it won't matter anyway. The end is stated to measure 18.8mm so should work with a ¾" socket. You could also use an adjustable wrench or the provided hole with a screwdriver/allen wrench to spin once you're dialed in and expanded to bite on the broken part. The ½" to 1" capacity should work on most parts in a bathroom or kitchen and for just under 20 bucks this should be a valuable tool once the time comes.

I ordered this item to resolve a plumbing pipe problem for my bathroom shower and once used, find it to be an excellent and versatile product. I later used it for extracting a broken stem on my irrigation system in my yard. This device is designed with double groves and two side bolts; making it highly versatile for a wider range of uses.
