New Star Foodservice 539014 10-Inch Steak Knife, 5-Inch Rounded Serrated Blade with Plastic Handle, Jumbo, Set of 12New Star Foodservice 539014 10-Inch Steak Knife, 5-Inch Rounded Serrated Blade with Plastic Handle, Jumbo, Set of 12At first glance they looked like they had cheap handles and good quality steel. No where does it say where its made. They look like what you would get your steak with at a local diner. Its light weight and it feels good in your hand. Its very comfortable to use and of perfect size. I finally made the steak dinner for 7 and everyone complimented me on these. I finally used it and it cuts like a hot knife through butter. These are my go to knives now.

These knives are very heavy and very sharp. I just think the handles could look a bit better considering the quality of the blade. The handle rivets are gold which I don't think look as good as silver would. Good knives but the look is just ok.

For the price, this 12-piece steak knife set has exceeded my expectations. Each knife measures 10 inches total, with a 5-inch rounded serrated blade and a durable black plastic handle that feels solid and sturdy.I've been using them consistently, and they perform exceptionally well, cutting through a variety of meats without issue. Having 12 knives ensures there's enough for everyone, even when guests are over, which is a nice bonus. The rounded edge is a great safety feature, especially for teaching youngsters how to handle knives properly while cutting food into manageable portions. The handles are slightly larger, which some may find noticeable, but I personally find them comfortable to grip.A couple of extra details worth mentioning:The knives are well-balanced and feel tough, making them a reliable addition to everyday kitchen utensils. They hold up great in the dishwasher, with both the blade and handle maintaining durability over multiple washes. While wooden handles would have been a nice touch, they aren’t expected at this price point, and the sleek black design still makes them look attractive.Overall, this is a nicely weighted, well-performing steak knife set that offers great value for the price—a fantastic addition to any kitchen

These knives are an amazing deal. You get good quality for a cheap price. The handles are plastic but not a cheap plastic. They are comfortable to hold. They are a good weight too. It cuts my steak with ease. I like the size and color too. These look like expensive knives but you won’t freak out when someone loses one. They are excellent for those of us who are on a budget but still want to look bougie.

These are a decent quality set of steak knives that are sharp, cut well through a variety of meats, and look like they will hold up well for everyday use. They have a good heft to them, which is nice, and they are large enough to be comfortable to hold and use. (I have some arthritis in my hands, so smaller knife handles are hard to hold). I cannot tell for certain, but it appears from both the positioning of the rivets and the balance that the tang does not extend the full length of the handle. The plastic seems quality and has a nice texture. The gold on the rivets appears to be painted on, as the gold does vary and some of the rivets show a mix of silver and gold color (it looks like the gold didn’t fully take or cover on the rivets, though it does not scratch off with a fingernail). Bonus is that I can just run them through the dishwasher instead of having to hand-wash these knives. An excellent value for the price.

I picked these up for our camper. They are a bit bigger than I would have liked but they work well. The rounded point is good for the kids safety. The serrated part is sharp enough to cut through meat but also safe enough for kids to handle.

These knives look a lot better in person than they do online. There are no markings or stamps on the blades that tell me the quality of the steel, but they feel a very decent quality for everyday steak knives. The blade is thick, and substantial, with some heft to it, and cuts through different cuts and types of meat easily, thanks to the versatility in having both a smooth and serrated edge, both of which are very sharp. The plastic handles are made of a high quality plastic, and feel really durable as well. They're comfortable in hand, and the grip shape feels natural to hold, and they look great, as do the ornamental rivets. The knives overall have a good balance, maybe being the slightest bit top heavy, but unnoticeable in use.I've also run the full set through the dishwasher and they're totally fine, and seem like they'll hold up to constant washes. For a set of 12 these knives are a great value.

Knife sets (like so much else) come in various price-points, and from afar it is often hard to tell what you are getting online. I REALLY like that the description lists them as having plastic handles, rather than having us guess. This (and the price) let us know these are good for everyday use, and nobody is going to form a search party if your niece takes one outside and buries it in the sandbox. That said, these are very nice knives. Nicely weighted, cut well, attractive look and feel. They are listed as dish-washer safe, but I tend to handwash mid-price items rather than trust them in my volcano temp dishwasher.Great Product!
